"I can't dance without music, " Violet pointed out. She could feel people watching her.

"Nick! Put on a playlist!" Alya commanded.
"Music is no problem." Jason pulled out his phone. "What song do you need?"
"Uh…" Violet hesitated.
"Come on, Violet. You can do it!" Alya whispered encouragingly.
The whole cafeteria was staring at her now. She froze.
Nick had already found Dancing Queen on his phone and plugged it into his portable speaker he kept in his bag.
"Deep breath okay, Vi?"
"Presenting…Violet, Dancing Queen!" Alya shouted out from the tabletop. Violet had no choice but to dance now.
Violet found herself in the very center of the cafeteria, people staring at her from every angle, evaluating her, watching her, judging her…
"You got this. Three seconds of getting up here, then five minutes of doing what you love, then you can faint. Mkay?" Alya whispers.
Biting his lip, Nick wasn't sure this was such a good idea. Sure, Vi was the best dancer he knew, but it wasn't good to force her into this.
"Vi…? If you aren't okay with this, I can turn it off."
Violet could barely hear Alya and Nick's voices over the pounding of her heart in her ears.
(Have Nick hit play)
pls ship nickla //
NICKLA /////////////
Not knowing what else to do, Nick had pressed play. The older song played through the speaker. If Violet didn't move, then he'd help her down and have to try and calm her. He felt bad pressuring her though.

(Don't force ships on anyone)
i know sorryyyyy i was looking at djwifi fanart tho and feels //
As soon as the first notes off the song echoed around the cafeteria, Violet belonged to it. The melody seized her veins, and when the words came, the music girl jumped into the rhythm, perfect timing of the beat.
Alya jumped off of the table as Violet started to dance. She clutched Nick's arm. "Woah."
Violet closed her eyes and smiled, her face totally calm.
"Tolja the girl could do it." Alya smiled happily. "Wait until she stops at the end and faints, though."
She flawlessly twirled and stepped.
"You're telling me," Nick replied with a chuckle. His arms were crossed loosely over his chest as he continued to watch the Dancing Queen do her thing.
