Finneas straightened himself best as he could after traveling through the portal, “It’s a ten minute walk down that road.” He gestured with his left arm.
Finneas straightened himself best as he could after traveling through the portal, “It’s a ten minute walk down that road.” He gestured with his left arm.
"Well lets start walking."
He said as Naide stepped forward, starting to walk ahead of them, keeping a lookout. She felt a little dizzy, but that was just the side effects of- nothing important.
Mercy actually had to close her eyes for a minute, feeling very dizzy.
“Did we just travel through the vacuum of space?” Speaking actually seemed to make her head swim more.
She decided to focus on taking slow deep breaths to keep from … embarrassing herself more today.
She opened one eye briefly to check on everyone else. Young-Jae and Niade seemed fine: makes sense as they probably do this all the time. Even Finneas looked like he took this better than she did.
"yes, why"
Young-Jae said with a change of tone. He was kind of taken back by that emo kid bumping into them.
When he's shocked he gets a little quiet…. well quieter. He never liked being caught off guard.
“I am currently in a fully human form. Their bodies are not meant to experience… that without some form of protection.” She explained slowly in a somewhat softer voice than normal. Her headache finally down to a manageable level, she opened her eyes glad to see the world had stopped swimming. ”That was kind of what I meant with my question earlier.”
Grimm's form rippled and materialized as he fell to his knees breathing heavily. Apparently, the guardians in this district were not too fond of the Grimm Reaper taking a short cut through their space. Not even after he offered them decade-old teriyaki jerky.
He slowly got to his feet, unsure of why he had even followed these people in the first place. "The blonde," came the muffled reply from the backpack, "you followed them because of the blonde," Jinx stated with irritation. Grimm shushed him, clutching his backpack as he stepped towards the group. "So… where are we?"
ignoring her answer, he stepped towards the strange new man. But before he could talk, Naide morphed into her human form, poking his forhead, she glared at him with her one green eye and her one blue eye.
"what do you want…. stalker?"
She said harshly to him, glaring at him.
Finneas stood silently, watching the antics with loose amusement, although he swayed on his feet from a raging headache. He felt like passing out soon, he needed his medicine from his kitchen, “Are we leaving it not?” He gruffed.
Grimm took a step back from the fearsome girl. "I… want to know what this place is and why we're here…"
“Apparently we are ten minutes away from his house.” Mercy said gesturing to Finneas. “And we came here to help our friend, Rune. I can’t answer why you decided to join us.” She arches a brow at the pale man.
“I don’t want to seem rude but may I ask… I know red eyes are not a common color. You don’t owe an explanation if you don’t want to talk about it.”
Young-Jae's kept on walking. Stretching his wings a little as he walked. He wanted to fly so badly, but these weaklings wouldn't be able to keep up, other than Naide and maybe that emo kid.
"Hey, little goth girl, who do you think you are anyway…. And why'd you follow us?"
Naide said getting extremely aggravated at the fact that he was ignoring her.
Rune looked around at all the strange scenery while they walked. It was all too familiar to the ranch she had taken refuge at when she first ran away. She smiled, content in this atmosphere.
Finneas grew slower the farther they walked, groaning lightly with each step. His side hurt so badly, and the portal didn’t help much. He narrowed his eyes to the road, knowing he didn’t have to endure this for much longer.
Grimm flinched at the question, blinking his crimson eyes slowly at the pretty blonde. Should he tell her? Wait, what was he thinking! He couldn't tell them, it always turned out badly. So why did he want to??
"Well," he began, "I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I'm not exactly human. Crimson eyes are kind of characteristic of my race."
Turning to Young-Jae. Obviously mad,
"Is he ignoring me?! I think he's ignoring me?!"
She said angrily to him.
Young-Jae just smiled and ruffled her soft white hair.
Mercy nodded at Grimm’s answer. “Then you’re in good company. I apologize if I made you uncomfortable. I was just curious.” She gave him a small smile.
Keeping up with the group her smile grew seeing Rune look so happy. Though noticing Finneas’ … weakening, was that the right word, she let out an annoyed huff.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this but… Get on.” She grumbled, shifting into a Palomino centaur. “And no one’s ignoring you, Naide.”
Finneas blinked, genuinely surprised at the kindness. “Oh, thank you..” he kept his arm wrapped around his midsection while he wondered how to get on. There was no saddle, and he had little strength to pull himself up, “Pardon while I figure out a way to get on, I’m doing my best.” He would ask Rune, but she wasn’t exactly helpful at the moment.
She rolled her eyes at his piteous attempts before “kneeling” to his level. “Again, not doing this for you. We just need you conscious as you’re the only one who can remove the band from Rune.”
"I'm so sure! I was poking his forehead and he turned away!"
She said looking at him and walking away. She kind of wanted to talk to him. She never ever talked to anyone but Young-Jae's though. How in the world does she do that?
Grimm raised an eyebrow at the now half-horse girl before turning back to the feisty girl apparently named Naide. "Um hi," he smiled a perfect smile, "I'm sorry, I was a little distracted."
“I appreciate that.” Finneas struggled up onto her back, wincing and groaning with pain everything he moved, “What will it take for me to prove I’m not a monster?”
Rune unhooked her arm from Finneas’ arm. She trailed over to investigate the new man, reaching over to try to touch and look at his headphones, “shiny” she whispered.
Mercy gave a thoughtful frown at his question as she stood up careful not to jostle his injuries too much.
To be honest, his recent actions haven’t been detestable… or completely unwarranted. But…
“An honest explanation would be a good start. If you really cared about Rune, why did you force her into a human form? I’m a shapeshifter so I am unbothered by what would normally be an excruciatingly painful process, but I know how different the anatomy of a human is from that of a bird.” She cast a slight glare at him over her shoulder. “And if you cared about her, why does she seem so afraid of you? She actually had a panic attack earlier when I asked if you used your abilities on her.” Her voice nearing a growl at the end of her speech.
"ObviouSLY"
She says flicking his forehead. Young-Jae's ruffled her hair, making her flinch a bit before she turned back to the goth princess over there.
"Youre being to physical…. And mean"
He said in a calmer voice.
"Whatever! So why'd you follow US?"
she asked him, ignoring Young-Jae
Finneas sighed through his nose, “I didn’t force it on her. I was trying to make an edible form of my “recipe” to make myself younger. I must have left it out one night, and curious Rune are it. When I woke up she was gone.” He glanced off to the side in shame, “I’m not the best raven owner, but I wouldn’t do that to her. My original method is even painful for me. That’s where I got the scars.”
He smiled at the third girl who was touching his headphones curiously. He slipped them off his neck, holding them out to the fascinated girl.
"So why'd you follow US?" Naide demanded. Grimm swallowed hard, casting a glance at Mercy who was still carrying that creepy dude on her back. "Well… I… thought you guys were pretty cool." He leaned forward slightly, gazing directly into Naide's eyes with his own soft crimson ones. "I can leave if you want."
"What… N-no!"
She got a little flustered by his eyes. He was beautiful, anywho
"I mean…. If you're gonna do anything stupid then you can"
She says flicking his forehead after staring him in the eyes.
