(I’m ready!)
Cold wind snapped through the city, winding its way in between the tall buildings that stood in the streets. Autumn had settled in, and the trees that were planted on the sidewalks had bright red and orange leaves that were strewn about; finding their way into the road. In the midst of the oddly cold weather, people scarcely went out. Only occasionally could a passerby be seen, however, for some the cold weather was not a problem. And those some were those who were barely human, not taking to things like bulky jackets or scarves in the cold months. Some of them hardly ever ate, or slept for that matter. (Sorry that it's a bit short for a starter, I'm a tad busy right now).
"Come on Marrin, I wanna get hot tea before the shop closes!" Cameron says, pulling at Marrin's sleave and dragging her through the streets. "Cam, calm down. If they close we can always go to the one on the other side of town." Marrin reminded her brother, still letting herself be pulled along.
Juliet had just dropped her baby boy off with a co-worker. She had to go shopping, and after the things she had went through the day before, she had no desire to take Qhuinn with her. She could see his face, could feel his hot breath against her face as he came close.
I know you missed me, beautiful. But don't worry, I'm here now, and you can't get rid of me this time…
Shivering, Juliet stuck her hands back into her pockets and walked down the rode. How in the world did he find her? She had covered all her tracks, changed her phone number, cut off all contact with friends- everything! But, apparently, it wasn't enough.
Apparently, she'd have to do it all over again. Just to get away, just to get her baby away.
(I’m not sure if I should pop up or not so I’ll just wait.)
(Where should she see him?)
(I could have him show up if you wanted. Just to get to the point.)
(Yes, please)
Sariel wondered down the sidewalk, ignoring the cold wind that was snapping at her face and tugging at her clothes. After all, it couldn't harm her, so what was the point in wearing a huge jacket that made her feel as if she was being suffocated? The sweater that she had on was the only form of protection from the cold that she needed. Looking on through silvery eyes, Sariel watched as brightly colored leaves scraped across the pale sidewalk, each one catching her eye because of its bright color.
Taking in a deep breath, the woman paid no mind to the stinging in her lungs. Some shops were still open, but were soon to close. There was no point in staying open for customers that were never going to appear.
Zackary looked around a corner, a slight grin turning his lips. His pointed, white teeth showed through easily, giving away his Demonship rather easily. He was also wearing his usual flannel and jean mix, at negative five degrees. He gazed at the back of a man, apparently skulking after a woman (not Juliet, just a symbol). He rose out of his shadows, reached out and snapped out his arms. The man was dead at his feet. He sprinted off, almost running into a worried girl (Juliet).
(Edit:) He smirked a little and looked at a mousy woman. “Oh, hey. Sorry ‘bout that. Death is death, we just can’t help it when people drop~”
Marrin and Cameron reached the tea shop and walked up to the door, only to see a closed sign on it. Cam let out a loud "Damnit! Can you check the hours of the other place?" He asks his sister, Marrin already pulling her phone out to check. "It's closed too."
Sariel listened to the clicking of her own shoes as she walked down the street, on complete alert for any signs of another person walking about. With any luck, this horrible weather would bring those who were sad, and looking to walk the streets free of others pestering them. For the past few years Sariel had been painfully aware of the increasing amount of contracts, however, she had not had any luck in striking a deal. Every now and then someone would walk by, and the woman's eyes would scan over them, only bringing her disappointment to find that their only discomfort was the weather.
Stopping, Sariel sat on the curb and rested her chin in her hands, looking out over the road in front of her.
Cam sat on the sidewalk, sulking as Marrin tried to get him up. "Come on Cam, just because the tea shop is closed doesn't mean you have to sulk," Marrin said, pushing away her bangs, her demon mark on full display.
( @"Whisper of Death to Purple Rabbits! (Inside joke. Don't ask)" ?)
With wide eyes, Juliet looked towards the fallen man and then, her frosty blue eyes slid to the on before her. “I- you- How?” She stuttered, taking a step back. Who was this guy? Why did he just murder that man? Was she the only one who saw this? Juliet began to tremble, taking a step back. “S-stay away from me.” she stammered, clutching her purse.
Zackry rolled his shoulders back and grinned. “Alright.” He gazed at her thoughtfully, humming softly.
“Sorrow, hmm? What is ever the problem?” His voice was soft. So soft, it sounded mocking. Maybe that was just his voice?
“Sorrow?” she narrowed her eyes. What is this man talking about? He just murdered a man and now he’s trying to have casual conversation? If you can even call this casual… “W-what’s the problem? The problem is you-” she pointed a finger at him. “Just murdered a man and left him on the concrete. Please… stop talking to me..” she turned away. *Wait, you can’t lead him in the way of the baby! What if he’s working for him? That’s why he wants to talk to you… * She changed courses immediately, her short legs speedily crossing the street and heading down a darker rode. Hopefully he wouldn’t follow.
