Avilasa saw the smile. It may have looked genuine at first glance, but the eyes did not show it. “You don’t have to put a fake smile on. I don’t care about empty facial expressions. Don’t force yourself to look pleasant on my account. And if you’re okay with Chinese, we can head to “Pink Pearl”. Can you teleport? Or is that just a halfling thing?” Avi was digging through her bag, searching for something.
Slowly, the expression faded from Sariel's face and she nodded in agreement to the place Avilasa had chosen. Walking over to the girl, she stepped beside her. "I can teleport, though nothing too dramatic like to other countries. Is that how you'd like to get there?" Sariel asked, raising up her hands.
"Oh?" She paused. "So, you'll be watching Qhuinn?" she repeated. How could this deal get any better?
Zackary nodded. “Yeah, I gotta keep an eye on him at all times. Protect him and such. There’s no point in making him be babysat by someone you have to pay.”
Juliet nodded, "And what do you get out of this? Out of all of this? You've given a lot for me and this contract. Even your own frickin blood and all you get is a Dr appt place to stay and a decent meal?" Juliet was trying to understand she really was, but she just couldn't.
Zackary shrugged. “My only regulation was that I get those two things. I stated it before I closed it.” He sighed into the food. “If I do anything more, people will start shying away from me. If I do less, I’d stoop down to levels of poorness that I cannot afford.”
"Less is not an option. But why can't you ask for more? Its not like you don't deserve more. You deal fairly. You do what we can't." She dropped her fork onto her plate. "Nothing in this life is free. I know that much. This deal and the price aren't adding up. They probably haven't in any of your other deals knowing you." Juliet braced her hands on the table and rose. "Zackary, you are trying to be a decent man, a decent demon, in an indecent world. And I understand, but you deserve more. So I'm going to give you more." She leaned close, inches between them. "And I dont wanna hear a single word about it. No. A. Single. Peep. Got it? Good." She said fiercely. "Now, enjoy your dinner, there's more on the oven and Ill gladly make more when you finish that. Watch Qhuinn, I'll be upstairs." She orders. And then, Juliet turned and walked out, strutting like a woman on a mission. Silence set in her wake until Qhuinn blew a raspberry and clapped happily.
Zackary blinked a couple times, his face still cupped into his hand. He let her lean forward, his gaze searching her determined one. The moment passed as she pulled herself away and started to strut off. He watched her curiously, his eyes drilled on the back of her head. He looked slowly at Qhuinn when she left.
“What do you think she’s going to do?” He asked with a sigh, putting his hand down on the table.
Qhuinn stuffed more cereal puffs in his mouth, enjoying his little snack. He then picked one up and held it out to Zackary, soggy anf cover in his spittle.
Zackary chuckled gently at the child’s response and took a puff. “Thank you. I’ll forever cherish it in my stomach.”

Yeah, did you reply? If you did I didnt see it, so sorry!//
Marrin got an idea, telopting both her and Cam to an alleyway a few feet infront of where Erik was heading. Marrin gave herself some demon horns and shit.
Erik sighed to himself, looking up at the sky as he was walking past another alley and trying to formulate a plan for tomorrow’s visit with his brother, trying to think of more ways to cheer him up. Erik wished he understood how to help him.
Marrin slid in front of Erik like she was wearing socks on wooden floors. "So, I'm a demon and you got a problem. I'm here to help."
Erik nearly jumped out of his skin, falling back and landing on the sidewalk. He was pale as snow, “What the-?” A demon. A real demon was standing before him. This isn’t real, this can’t be real- “Who- Who are you?”
(I love how other Demons manipulate their prey into taking deals and Marrin is like, HEDH I’M A DEMON MAKE A CONTRACT WITH ME)
"Names Marrin, I can tell you're worried about something and I'm a demon. So I can help with whatever." Marrin said casually as Cam stayed in the alleyway.

He'll yeah! Yes, that pun was intended.//
“Wait what?” Erik furrowed his brow, getting to his feet, “Are you- Are you crazy?” Erik demanded, taking a step back. This had been the person he’d run into, but how on earth did they get ahead of him?
"I have been called crazy multiple times, but no." Marrin said, crossing her arms. She was invisable to everyone but Cam and Erik.
And how do they know I’m worried about something…? “I- why should I believe you?” Erik reached into his pocket to grab his phone, ready to dial 911 in case Marrin tried to threaten him.
Marrin just looked at him. "I have fucking demon horns, my eyes are blood red and I have black markings up my fucking arms. Bot to mention that I teleported here."
Erik took another subtle step back, “Well- well, what do you want from me?” Erik demanded, still tense. He slipped his phone out of his pocket, trying to start to dial 911.
