Mistpaw looked up. "Well, we've got to go now." She turned to Shadowpaw and Adderpaw. "I guess we'll see you around?"

Adderpaw and Shadowpaw shared a glace. Adderpaw turned back and smirked, nodding. "Yeah, Definitely."

Vixenpaw didn't want to say goodbye to Koipaw and the RiverClan apprentices but had to as they left to follow their mentors back to their own territory. The large ginger cat made his way back to his friends as they themselves followed their mentors across the fallen tree. "That went well." He said bluntly.

Stormpaw was padding beside Vixenpaw, lashing his tail in annoyance. "Flamepaw approached me and Mistpaw while we were talking to some ShadowClan apprentices." He hissed quietly, Vixenpaw was well aware of his dislike for Flamepaw, and Stormpaw could practically see Vixenpaw rolling his eyes at his words.
Stormpaw soon trailed off into a grumble of upset words.

Swiftstar mewed a goodbye to the other leaders and yowled for her clan. She landed neatly at the base of the tree and moved towards the bridge, Stormcloud trailing behind her. She brushed up against Springheart as they walked out. "That was nervewracking." She said in a low voice.

Springheart nodded quietly, looking over at her mate. “I can tell. Shadowstar seemed oddly offended by Fawnstar’s offer to help, his tone ruined the mood. He must still be torn after losing his father… Adderstar was an honorable tom." Springheart sighed, she could relate to losing a loved one. She was the last surviving kit in her litter, watching all her littermates fall one by one. 'Stormpaw can see Stormtuft… is he with us right now?' Walking beside me?

Quickly changing the topic, the former WindClan queen purred. "Stormpaw wouldn't stop talking about how every cat looked at him and chanted his name after you announced it. If I hadn't calmed him down I'm certain he would've bounced all over the gathering island. He's certainly a pawful."

Adderpaw and Shadowpaw shared a glace. Adderpaw turned back and smirked, nodding. "Yeah, Definitely."

Mistpaw let out a nervous laugh, then quickly followed after her Clanmates. She slowed a bit once she caught up to Stormpaw and Vixenpaw, looking slightly dazed.

Vixenpaw ignored Stormpaw's grumbling and instead let his mind wander to his new RiverClan friends and Koipaw. He felt his ears get warm and shook his head, trying to shake off his feelings. "Get yourself together, Vixenpaw!" He thought, "You are a medicine cat apprentice, you can't get caught up with feelings, especially not for a kind, attractive RiverClan cat- waitno-"

Swiftstar looked at her paws, she knew what Springheart was thinking about. The loss of Springheart's siblings had impacted her and Ravenheart deeply as well, especially Stormtuft. "I do feel bad for Fawnstar. Having to take the lead after someone like Whitestar is not going to be easy on him. I have offered him my support but I think he would prefer to help than be helped."

"To be completely honest, I think we may have been worse to our poor mentors. I'm still apologising to Longscar for all I put him through." She chuckled.

Vixenpaw walked into the apprentice den and dramatically flopped onto his nest. "That was absolutely exhausting!" He said, his voice ringing with sarcasm. He heard Ashpaw snort with amusement behind him and he shot to his paws. "Ha! That counts! I win!" He yelled.

"What? No! Pigeon feathers!" Ashpaw cried between giggles.

Vixenpaw smirked, he'd had a bet with Ashpaw that he could make him laugh.

The large ginger tom curled up in his bed, shooting a final look towards Crystalpaw, who returned it. "Long night, huh?" He said to the other apprentices, "I'm so tired."

"All I'm saying is," Swiftstar said as she and Springheart moved into their den, "Even if Shadowstar needed help, he would never say so. Especially to Fawnstar and in front of all of the clans." She sighed as they reached their nest and flopped onto her side. "But enough clan drama, I'm too stressed already."

@PastelTart

Mistpaw sat in her nest, her thoughts turning to the two ShadowClan apprentices she had met. She felt a strange warmth in her chest as their words replayed in her head. Stormpaw didn't seem too happy about what they said, but… how do I feel about it?

@JustALostM book

@Spring-was-resurrected-electric-boogalo

in the long Stormpaw bit, I did control a few background characters who aren't mine- so sorry about that- I'm just tryna have a slightly wholesome bit with the apprentices being chums- //

Springheart nestled down beside her mate, having listened to the gray tabby she-cat talk about everything, putting in her opinion when needed. But now that they were alone, the cooling Greenleaf air going through camp and causing the yellowing tall grass and heather to sway softly, Springheart sighed.

"Well, then stop stressing and come over here." The much taller she-cat mewed, twitching his whiskers.

Moving over slightly in her soft nest that was lined with sheep's wool, Springheart laid on her side and watched as Swiftstar shuffled over towards her and cuddled close. The long-furred pale brown she-cat purred quietly as she groomed the gray tabby molly's head in a comfortable silence, her long, fluffy tail curled around the other she-cat.
It was warm and peaceful, Springheart wouldn't have it any other way.

In the Apprentices' Den, Stormpaw yawned, flicking his tabby-striped tail as he pushed his way through a thin wall of heather and yellowing grass. Aside from that run-in with Flamepaw, the gathering was mostly enjoyable. He had learned a lot from the other clans, and he was happy to see how ShadowClan was doing after everything that had happened to them.

The dark brown tom huffed as he flopped into his nest, Mistpaw getting into hers which was right next to him. "That was fun," he mewed, sounding tired and slightly out of breathe. "I'm glad to see ShadowClan doing well."
Silverpaw looking up from grooming her chest fur, the light silver tabby flicked her ear, "you seemed to be excited when Swiftstar announced your name." the older apprentice tease. "Me and Dewpaw could see you jumping up and down from out spot next to Juniperleaf and Poppyheart."
Stormpaw rolled his dark blue eyes, "What, you didn't act like that when your named was called? it's a special moment." he puffed his chest fur out.
"Vixenpaw you still need to tell us about the gathering." Crystalpaw mewed, his tail curled around Ashpaw. "Stormpaw bouncing up and down like a twoleg dog is something I need to hear in detail."
The other apprentice laughed while Stormpaw scoffed, before he also began laughing along. It was a rather funny description to describe his excitement when Swiftstar, his other mother, announced his name to the other clans. "Okay. Fine, i admit. I guess I acted like a kit." he yawned.

Stormpaw rested his head on his big paws, favoring to lean and rest on his white paw more.
Stormpaw laid down in his grass and heather woven nest, listening to the other apprentices as they settled down for the night. He could hear Vixenpaw and Crystalpaw whispering about something about a rabbit hop or so away from him in separate nests, but he didn't feel like listening in to whatever they were saying. He just figured Vixenpaw was catching the oldest apprentice up on what happened at the gathering and all the news that was shared. After all, Crystalpaw had asked.

With that, sleep pulled him away into a rare darkness… but something felt different this time…

woooahhh
emo cliffhangerrr that will probably be explained in the next few replies //

@ZephirFox8812

Vixenpaw yawned widely. He said a quick goodnight to Crystalpaw, curled up in his own nest, and quickly fell asleep.

(I have to control Stormpaw for this bit, just letting everyone know so they aren't confused)

Stormpaw narrowed his eyes, trying to see where he was. It was dark here and, despite the small amount of light filtering through the trees above, almost impossible to see anything. He was used to visiting StarClan when he slept and it was always too bright there, he wasn't sure the dark was a welcome change.

The ground under his paws was uneven and cold, covered in roots and outcrops of rock, ready to trip him up. It was quiet, no bird song, or even the rustling of leaves. He felt the fur on the back of his neck start to stand on end. Definitely not a welcome change.

"Do I know you?" A voice from behind him said. Stormpaw whipped around. He could see the shape of another cat in the shadows. He could somehow tell without thinking that this cat was completely dead, and had been for probably a while, though he wasn't quite sure how he knew. The cat's eyes were a bright purple, brighter than those of Stormpaw's mother and sister, and its voice was wheezy and breathy like it had been struck across the throat mere moments ago.
