She stopped and faced him. "There's a first for everything. Besides, I'm also curious."

Griffin blinked a few times, dazed from this information. “Who was her first kill? What was her breaking point?”

Haile thought about it. "I think it was one of the scientists. They had just taken a friend of hers."

Griffin nodded. “Okay.. Why would she be back? Was he—“ he indicated to the ringmaster, “—in charge when she went crazy?”

Haile shook his head.

“Then who was?”

"Some other gal," he said vaguely.

“Did they know each other? How old was Alice when she joined the circus?”

"She was just barely 7" Haile said reluctantly.

She stopped and faced him. "There's a first for everything. Besides, I'm also curious."

Eli nodded. "Alright." He turned and took a deep breath, running straight through Alice. "Woah….it's like…it felt like I was underwater but…not…?"

"Seven?" Ana couldn't imagine someone being here at the age of seven.

“What was her relation to the ringmaster then?”

Alice bent over, gasping. "Oh my god."

Haile nodded at Ana. "Some aunt three times removed, I don't know."

"That was really weird." Eli pointed out, turning back around.
