"Now that is plain offensive."
"Now that is plain offensive."
Eli raised his eyebrows before realizing that he was still invisible. "It's true and you know it."
She stuck her tongue out behind her. "I am not utterly unfeeling."
She stuck her tongue out behind her. "I am not utterly unfeeling."
He shook his head. "Yeah. Sure."
She pouted, hurt. "Not cool."
"For the record, killing people isn't 'cool' either."
Her expression returned to its normal state. "Fair enough."
Eli smirked, leaning against the wall and watching to see what Alice would do next.
She kept walking. "I wasn't a 'psycopath'," she said with air-brackets.
"Mhm. Sure." Eli responded, half-listening to her.
She sighed. "Ugh. Boys."
He still ignored her, but he did stand up and follow her.
Haile dropped his head to his chest. "So I guess we're at an impasse."
"Well, not really. We have a gun and plenty people who are willing to shoot you." Ana responded, crossing her arms.
Haile chuckled deeply. "And I have no more information on Alice."
Ana looked over at the group. Last time, she was wrong about letting Haile go. "Is he right?" She whispered.
Leo squinted at Haile. "I really can't tell."
She sighed, turning back to Haile. "Fine. Any other information about this creepy ghost thing we should know?"
"Where did Alice even go? We should probably find that out," Jace asked.
He thought about it. "Just that they can take a physical form with enough effort."
"Really?!" Ana smiled slightly. Maybe Eli can come back…
"Not come back to life or anything. And only certain people can. And it's risky."
Her grin disappeared. Way to ruin it for me. Ana turned to Jace and nodded. "We should."
Leo nodded. "Awesome. See ya later, Haile."
