@PuffPoff
(alright bye!)
(alright bye!)
"Wait, what? Guys, take a look at these," Lia grabbed one of the adoption papers from the pile to show the boys.
(Bye!)
Leo nodded and handed the cheque over to Eli before taking the paper from Lia. His mouth fell open.
Ana shook her head. "I don't get it." Eli folded the check and stuffed it in his pocket.
Leo shook his head. "That is really weird."
"What? What is it?" Eli leaned over, trying to read the paper.
(Who should the papers be for? I have no ideas haha)
(I don't think any of us know because I'm just stalling)
(I HAVE AN IDEA)
Leo looked up at Eli. "We're all here legally, Eli."
(cause didn't they think they were like kidnapped and they had families?)
"What?! How?!" Eli took the papers from Leo and read them over, running his fingers through his hair.
"What.. What does that mean?" Lia asked.
Just then, Jace walked into the room. "Okay, they're tied up and Griffin is watching over them, I just wanted to see what you guys were doi-… What's going on?" He noticed them all huddled around the papers.
(ooh good idea!)
(thanks)
Leo handed Jace his and Lia's adoption papers, clutching his own.
(okay so were they all adopted from the ringmaster?)
"But…but…" Eli stammered, crumbling up the paper. "This is stupid." He tore the paper in half, throwing it on the floor. Ana fell to the floor next to Leo. "I…I can't believe it. We…I don't have a family…I…"
(yeah ig)
(okay so were they all adopted from the ringmaster?)
(everyone except Griffin maybe? I'm not sure we'll have to ask Topaz about Griffin's backstory)
Jace took a deep breath and swallowed slowly, trying to stay calm. "This.. holy… This changes everything."
Ana clutched the paper to her chest, tears in the corners of her eyes. "No…."
Leo closed his eyes. "It does, Jace, It does."
Eli stomped on the paper as if that would make it disappear. Ana ripped hers up as well.
"What do we do now? What are we going to tell the cops?" Lia whispered, still holding the papers.
Eli signed Lia's words to Ana. Ana shook her head, standing up. "I…I don't know…" She sighed. "We could get him arrested for child abuse…but technically we're the ones that knocked him out."
Snatches of the conversation drifted out to Griffin’s ears, and he cleared his throat. “Burn the papers. That way they won’t have proof.”
Eli nodded, picking up the pieces of paper on the floor. "Sounds good to me."
