Lia popped her head over to where everyone is standing and raised her baseball bat. "Anyone want to use this? I've got to admit, it's pretty handy."
Lia popped her head over to where everyone is standing and raised her baseball bat. "Anyone want to use this? I've got to admit, it's pretty handy."
Elliot grinned, taking the bat from her. "Gladly."
Haile smirked, gripping Geiffin’s Wrists tighter and taking a step closer. “I can beat you in a second.”, he whispered in Griffin’s ear. “Remember what I did to your sister?”
Eli carefully walked forward, the bat in his hand. Ana stood behind him.
Griffub’s whole bodybtensed up, eyes filling with fear. He tried to step back, but his father’s steel grip on him never once relaxed. Griffin let out a small whimper, terrified as he remembered.
"Let go of him." Eli growled, stepping closer with Ana and Lia right behind him. "Now."
Haile sneered. “Stay out of this.” Griffin’s breathing was laboured, heart hammering in his chest as his father brought a hand up and wrapped it around his neck.
"Never." Ana grumbled. Eli smiled at her before turning back to Griffin and his father. He moved even closer, lifting the bat up.
"Come on, Eli…" Leo egged under his breath.
Haile brought up his other hand to his son’s neck, squeezing slowly and agonizingly. Griffin’s eyes widened on sheer terror as hi mouth opened to gasp for breath, but he couldn’t. Haile squeezed tighter.
"You asked for it." Eli took the bat and swung at Griffin's dad with all his might. Ana closed her eyes and flinched.
There was a loud crack as the bat connected with the back of Haule’s head, and he dropped to the floor, unconscious. Griffin fell to his knees, his face blue while he gasped for air.
Leo rushed to Griffin's side. "Shit, Griffin, are you OK?"
Ouch. That had to hurt. Eli thought as he put the end of the bat on the ground and leaned against it, feeling proud of himself. Ana rushed over to Griffin, crouching down to help him.
Griffin clawed at his throat as he took deep ragged breaths, unable to speak.
Leo gently rubbed Griffin's back gently, letting him catch his breath.
Eli smiled at the unconscious man, not feeling any remorse. He bent down to whisper in the man's ear. "In.Your.Ugly.Face." He stood back up.
Lia ran over to Griffin and crouched down next to Ana and. "Hey, easy. Take deep breaths. Relax your muscles."
Jace looked at the two unconscious adults in the room. "Maybe now we'll be able to call the cops. Get out of this freak show once and for all."
Griffin hacked, coughing up a tiny spurt of blood. “Th-thanks guys. Eli.”
"No problem." Eli smiled softly at Griffin. Ana looked at Griffin, concerned but unsure what to do.
Leo nodded at Jace and grabbed the ringmaster's phone from where it had fallen. He dialled.
Griffin’s eyes shifted to his father and fear took over him again and he backed up quickly against the wall, fingering the bloody gouges on his neck tentatively.
Elliot kicked at the older man's body. "Defiantly knocked out for now." He walked over to Leo.
Griffin stayed pressed against the wall, not daring to look at Ella’s body while all his childhood nightmares flooded him.
