Leo lifted the speaker away. "Keep kicking," he said grimly. The police picked up. He related the info again and hung up. "7 minutes this time."

Griffin eyed the ringmaster and his father, suddenly remembering something. “He knows where my sister is.”
"Seven minutes." Eli looked over at Griffin. "Think he'll be alright?" He asked Leo.
Leo looked down at Griffin. "He can't do anything to her just yet, Grif." He looked back to Eli. "Scarred, that's for sure. But he'll live." As he said it, his gaze landed on Ella and his face fell.
Jace snorted. "Let's see if we actually see the police in seven minutes."
"Should some of us wait outside so they know we're here?" Ana asked, standing up.
Lia stood. "I'll go. I need some fresh air."
Ana nodded. "I'll go too." She walked over to Lia.
Griffin shook his head. “We need to tie them up. We can’t let them get the upper hand again.”
Eli nodded. "Anyone know where we can find some rope?"
Leo nodded at a room. "I'll get it." He entered the dim room and switched on the light. He saw in the corner an open chest overflowing with paperwork. "Eli?" He approached it.
Griffin got up, but fell back down again, head spinning. “And thanks for earlier. You too Ana. You guys didn’t have to do that for me.”
Elliot walked up to Leo. "What is it?" He looked around the room.
Ana smiled at Griffin. "You're welcome."
Lia peered into the room Leo was in. "Hey, wait, me and Eleanor were in here… The key I found opened it."
Leo gestured to the chest. "Think we'll find anything useful?"
Eli was already looking through the chest. "I think we will."
Leo knelt by it, shuffling through the papers.
Ana walked into the room as well, peering over Leo's shoulder. "Did you guys find anything?"
Griffin stayed back, keeping a close eye on the ringmaster and his father.
"Adoption papers, receipts…" He picked up another sheet. "Cheques?"
"Money?" Elliot looked over at what Leo was holding. Ana, however, was more interested in the adoption papers. She picked one up, reading over it.
Leo nodded. "For, um, 3 000 $."
"What about the adoption papers?" Lia asked.
(I gtg)
(You guys have control over Griffin)
"Holy s**! Three *thousand dollars?!" Eli exclaimed. Ana showed Lia the papers as she read through them.
