“Right..” Corbin said slowly. He was wondering if this was stupid to call Bastian. All Bastian had wanted to do was just hookup. What was he even calling for, anyways?
“Right..” Corbin said slowly. He was wondering if this was stupid to call Bastian. All Bastian had wanted to do was just hookup. What was he even calling for, anyways?
"So, any particular reason you're calling? I'm still a little fuzzy on what happened last night, so I might need a bit of a reminder," Bastian chuckled. All he really remembered was being in the guy's lap before getting his number. And that he was hot, but that was common with the people he tried to pick up
“You made your intentions clear last night, and I wanted you to know that I’m not up for any sort of hookup,” Corbin started simply.
"Hey, hey, don't jump the gun on me. I'm usually classy enough to take someone out first, and then ask for the hookup part," Bastian chuckled. "But hey, I get it. Drunk me usually thinks with the other head."
“Yeah, I could tell,” Corbin said. He ran a hand through his head as he leaned against the counter still to help support his weight.
"Here, how about this. I take you out someplace for lunch, and then you figure out whether or not you still like me," Bastian offered with a small grin
Corbin was quiet for a moment as he considered it. “Alright,” He said after that moment. “But to let you know, I’m not one to hookup on a first date.”
Bastian raised a brow at that. Normally he was the love 'em and leave 'em type guy, but he guessed he could make an exception. "Alright, I can live with that. Got a time you want me to grab you, or do you want to meet up somewhere?"
“Later in the evening is fine, and I will probably need a ride,” Corbin answered. He ran a hand through his hair as he spoke, glancing around the room.
"Alright, I can do that. Where do you live? I can just come pick you up then," Bastian said, drumming his fingers idly against the bedsheets as he spoke
“Wayside Drive, house at the very end of the street,” Corbin said, stepping away from the counter. Orion had come in, so he went to go close the back door.
"Got it. See you tonight then," Bastian said with a small smile. An odd thought then crossed his mind. He was actually picking Corbin up. To go to dinner. On a date. He hadn't actually dated in forever, not since…no, no, he wasn't going to think about him. He was going to focus on figuring out a way to make this a somewhat okay date. Yeah, he could do that
“Yeah, see you then,” Corbin answered before hanging up. He huffed to himself, walking back over to the counter and setting his phone down. He reached down, giving Orion’s head a pet before looking for something got make for breakfast.
(aand skip)
Bastian had actually tried to put a little effort in his appearance for his date with Corbin. He was still wearing his aviator jacket, though he had pulled on one of his nicer tank tops and did his best to get his hair a little neater than usual. He had left his house a little while ago, and was now driving along Corbin's street
Corbin was just wearing a simple tshirt, a pair of jeans, and his Navy jacket. He rubbed behind Orion’s ears as he waited for Bastian to arrive. Of course he was going to bring Orion with him. He couldn’t go anywhere without his service dog.
Bastian eventually stopped outside of Bastian's house. He parked the car before stepping out, pushing his sunglasses up on his forehead as he walked up to the door. He knocked before putting his hands in his pockets, his foot tapping absently
Orion gave a bark when there was a knock on the door, padding over to it. Corbin got up from where he had been sitting at the kitchen table, stuffing his keys and phone into his pocket. He opened the door, looking up at Bastian after he opened it. “Hey.”
"Evening, hot stuff," Bastian hummed, winking at Corbin before glancing down at Orion. "And hello, hot stuff's dog," he added with a small chuckle
Corbin gave a faint smile at the compliment, looking down at Orion. “Hope you don’t mind that he would be in your car. I have to bring him everywhere with me,” he said.
"Nah, it's okay. I can just vacuum the car later," Bastian said with a shrug. He secretly hoped that the dog didn't make too much of a mess in the car. It was one of his most prized possessions, after all. "Anyways, ready to go?" he asked
“Yeah, I’m ready to go,” Corbin said, grabbing his crutch and hooking Orion’s leash onto his harness.
Bastian led him over to the Camaro parked a few feet away. It was a very nice car, the white racing stripes on the top standing out against the dark grey paintjob. Bastian walked over to the passenger side door, pulling it open for Corbin. "After you," he hummed
“Thanks,” Corbin said as he got into the car, Orion jumping in and into the small backseat area. “Nice car,” he commented.
"Thanks," Bastian said, smiling a little at the compliment. "Despite the appearance, it's actually pretty old. I update the interior every year to keep up with the latest upgrades and such," he said before putting his sunglasses back on
“Ah, I see,” Corbin said, nodding his head slowly. He put his seatbelt on, reaching back to give Orion a quick pet.
