"Run to where we met last night." Sam said, looking around for prying eyes.
"Run to where we met last night." Sam said, looking around for prying eyes.
"When?" she asked, preparing to sprint.
"As soon as the door opens." He said, laying his hand on the stone and it began to open, "Now!"
Joanna ran as fast as she could over the rough terrain.
Sam followed and made it loo like he was chasing her and luckily, no one followed.
Joanna reached the spot and ducked into an alcove, catching her breath steadily.
Sam stopped in the middle of the clearing, doubling over for a moment to returning his breathing to normal. Once done he motioned for Joanna to come out.
Joanna stepped out of the alcove, looking ready and strong. "We made it," she noted, looking around.
Sam nodded, "Yeah we did. Now, onto your powers. You have to look inside yourself and feel it. It's like a flame inside a well, the well represents how deep your power will go and the flame is the power itself."
Joanna looked at him skeptically. "And… this is gonna work?"
Sam shrugged and sat down, leaning back on his arms, "If you do it correctly, yes. But you have to believe in it."
Joanna sighed. "Okay…" She closed her eyes and tried to focus.
"Relax, don't stress about it and dig deep." Sam leaned forward a little.
Joanna tried as hard as she could. She was stressing way too much.
Sam stood and placed a hand on Joanna's shoulder, "Joanna, don't stress. Take deep breaths."
Joanna instinctively flinched away from his hand and opened her eyes. "Sorry," she mumbled and looked at her shoes.
Sam removed his hand and took a step back, "No, I'm sorry. Try again." He said gently.
