Wendi let out a little whoop as she beat Dove. She grinned over at Dove also panting ever so slightly, "It's still not fair! Think about how much sooner I could have gotten here before you if we had started at the same time"
Dove made a sound somewhere between a whine and a laugh. “Wendiiiii, it was more than fair, c’mon.”
She shook her head as she entered the Big House. Hearing voices, she went up the stairs and shyly waved to the others.
"It wasn't!" Wendi followed Dove into the Big House. She quickly quieted after entering and followed after Dove waving around the same time Dove did. She really hoped that everything was going to be alright.
Amelia was about to answer Wynn when Wendi and Dove walked in. "Maybe another time. I think this is all of us isn't it?" She asked quietly. She plopped down in a seat and sighed. She began to tap her foot anxiously.
Astrid approached the Big House after watching the others enter. She opened the door and stepped inside, ignoring the confused looks from the others. She took a seat, brushing her bangs aside as she took a look around. She'd almost forgotten what it looked like, considering she hadn't been inside for at least seven years.
Dove managed a chuckle. “Sure, why not?” She said to Wendi. Running might improve her mood more, even if she didn’t feel like it. She quickly hugged Ash, who said, “Good luck,” before Dove heard the nymph’s whisper. She looked down and gave her a small wave.
“Um, hi.” She wasn’t really experienced with talking to nymphs, but this one was cute, and besides, she was Ash’s friend. “Lilly, right? Nice to meet you, I gotta race.”
She looked back to Wendi and said, “Let’s go,” before dashing out of the mess hall. She was kind of slow, and didn’t expect to beat her friend there, but it didn’t matter.
Ash watched them go, then looked back down at Lillian. “Alright, I’m here now. Do you need to go back to the lake? I wouldn’t want you going out when you’re still healing.”
Her eyes widened slightly when dove said hi back, and she just muttered something back to Dove looking down as she ran with her friend.
These humans were nice…?
She was shocked and in slight awe at that face.
She looked back up at ash, "um.. probably should go back.."
Ash chuckled. “Alright.” He bent down and took Lillian in his arms. “Do you mind if I do this?” He asked. Leaving the clamoring mess hall, he made his way to the lake.
She nuzzled into his arms as he held her, walking away from all of the other teenagers.
"no I don't mind.." she mumbled, leaning against him with a slight smile.
“Okay, good,” he said. She was just so small, and he didn’t want her to get cold. Once they came to the lake, the grass and flowers had already begun to die, so Ash sat down and pulled out his pipes and revitalized the space. A soft melody lilted in the air.
Ava looked up from under a window in the big house. She was watching and waiting for Wynn so that she could go with him on this quest or whatever it was. The horse-man, Chiron or whatever his name was, said that they did't let kids her age go on quests. So she decided that if he wouldn't let her go, than she would just have to let herself go.
"Would you like to go with Wynn?" she mumbled to herself.
"Yes please." She replied.
"Very well, you may go, just as long as you are not a burden, or hold them back.
"Yes, ma'am."
And with that conversation she had with herself, it was settled. Ava was going with Wynn.
(Btw Wynn's already in the big house)
(I know. she is waiting for him to come out.)
Chiron walked into the room. he stood in the doorway and look at the campers with a face of regret. They should not be here. They were children. They shouldn't be running errands and doing things for their well-capable parents. His heart went out for them. Half of the chosen weren't even warriors. This life wasn't for them. They should not have been chosen like this. Hercules had no right to show up as he did and demand these campers to go on a quest. It wasn't right. It was hasn't how it was done. But it was too late now. If they did not do as Hercules wanted, he would wreak havoc on the camp. "I am very sorry for the journey you are about to go on. But you have been chosen by a god and you have no choice now. We will talk about how will we proceed with this quest and you will leave in the morning. Anything you need will be supplied for you."
Astrid looked up as Chiron entered. She tugged at her braid absent-mindedly as she listened, wondering if he'd say anything about her presence. Did Chiron even know how many campers had actually been chosen? What would he do if he realized she wasn't supposed to be there? Astrid decided to push those thoughts aside for now, dropping her hands as she focused back on Chiron.
Wynn stayed near with Amelia, seated with her moving to grab her hand to try and ease her nerves, giving her hand a gentle squeeze to let her know he was here for her as well. He turned to listen to Chiron as he spoke, and he nodded along with what he said.
"thank you Chiron."
“Okay, good,” he said. She was just so small, and he didn’t want her to get cold. Once they came to the lake, the grass and flowers had already begun to die, so Ash sat down and pulled out his pipes and revitalized the space. A soft melody lilted in the air.
She let out a relaxed exhale as he played his soft melody, curling up in his arms.
"I'm glad…I found you.." she mumbled sleepily, nuzzling into him.
Amelia's head hung low as she listened to Chiron. She kept her gaze down, not meeting anyone's eye. The fact that even Chiron didn't want then going on this quest spoke how it was going.
Ash lowered the pipes, placing a hand on her head. “I’m glad you found me. Rest now, okay?”
At one point while he played, he’d spotted the chosen campers making their way to the Bog House. It made him worry, and he wanted to know if Dove was okay and when she’d be leaving.
Dove turned as Chiron entered, falling silent and keeping close to Wendi. She tried to focus on breathing and keeping calm, but the centaur’s wording made it sound like they were doomed to die.
“Can we see the map, Wendi?” She suggested softly. “Maybe it will give us an idea of what we need to do first.”
Ash lowered the pipes, placing a hand on her head. “I’m glad you found me. Rest now, okay?”

She nuzzled into him, clinging softly to him as she dozed off into a Gentle sleep. She just rested in his arms, dreaming of who even knows what.
Wendi nodded and walked over to an open spot on the pool table. She placed the map down and spread it out so it was entirely showing. She had stayed quiet simply because she had finally realized what was happening with her. But she had to stay strong for everyone else here, "Yeah, 'course."
Astrid moved closer to look at the map, repeating Chiron's words in her head. He doesn't want us to go on this quest. He's afraid that we'll all die. She pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the paper. Where exactly are we supposed to go?

His gaze softened. She needed him now, and he couldn’t leave her. Hopefully he could at least see Dove later, or she would say goodbye before she left. Ash watched as the little nymph clung to his shirt like a baby possum to its mother. She hadn’t reverted to her plant form, so perhaps she was only napping for a short while.
Chiron took a good look at them all. "Alright. Let's take a look at this map and discuss what your game plan is going to be. The best thing for all of you will to at least be a general plan that you can stick too. It will change on your journey as you encounter obstacles. But its good to have something in mind."

She rolled around a little bit in her sleep before nuzzling more into his arms and into his chest, taking in his body heat. She slept for a good while before eventually moving to wake up again in his arms and rubbed her eyes.
"mm…"
Wynn nodded to Chiron, listening to him speak and moving to get a look at the map as he hadn't gotten to earlier when Wendi took it off the table, his eyes spread over the whole thing while still staying near Amelia.
