Asura focused his flames on his legs, trying to get a better look at the liquid. It was red and heavy, clinging to his fur. He continued forward, squinting in the dim light. Up ahead was a human figure slouched against a wall.
Mozos looked around the room, and stopped. There was a throne in the center of the room, and on it sat the colossal form of his father. He stared directly in to the eyes of the powerful being and faltered. He could actually die here. His own powers were nothing to scoff at, but it was like comparing a torch and a bonfire. He took a small step back as the large Demon rose from his seat.
(gtg now, be back in like half an hour maybe)
oh no!)
Lavender was pinned to an experimentation table, a knife being slowly and excruciatingly sunken into her stomach again and again. Her mouth was gagged and her eyes were wild with pain and terror as the Faerie began to slowly saw her head off. There was no relief from the pain, no painkillers. She could barely think as the knife cut deeper and deeper into her throat.
(I'll just stop now. I'm really sorry)
(it's okay. I'm just sensitive to those kinds of things.)
(I should've known too. Just slap me in the hallway if you see me)
(no)
(no one is slapping you Red, you just made a small mistake) Michael dragged himself to the end of the hall. Maudie looked down at him, confused. "You know that I'm not a door right?"
"Move your ghostly ass," Michael said, more black blood dripping from his mouth. The ghost gave him a look and moved. Now that he was closer, Michael could clearly see the outline of what looked like a mirror on the wall. He turned his head towards her, his dislocated jaw moving so that it looked like he was grinning. "Mirror mirror on the wall, get this bitch some fucking Halls." The mirror spluttered to life, sucking him in as Maudie yelled angrily behind him (also I'm sorry for Michael swearing so much lol)
(no it's fine lol that was great)
Asura ran toward the figure, and he became clearer as he neared him. He froze once he realized who it was. It was Mephisto, the man that he had murdered years ago.
Lavender flickered back to life in the room, heart pounding. Her hand immediately flew to her throat, amazed when she found no mark or gash. Wasting no time, she began to search the room while the shadow began to re-form.
The figure began to move. There was a fresh wound on his chest, the skin peeled away, revealing the ribcage. Mephisto smiled at Asura and stood up, wings sprouting from his back.
(my writing skills are trash right now idk why)
(naw you're fine) Michael found himself on his back, uncomfortably laying on his fins. He rolled himself over, surprised to see no sign of the cut along his side. He seemed to be in another copy of the hallway, this one with only four doors. "Choose one" was written on the wall at the end of the hallway. Michael floated down the hall, looking at the doors. One was black with gold trim, another was red and blue. One had what looked like lavender flowers on it, and another was wooden and scuffed
(yeah… i'll just say Matthias passed out and he's just hanging there in the middle of absolute chaos)
This time, multiple shadows formed, circling Lavender who stood in the center, petrified as they closed in. Knowing she didn't have much time, her eyes darted around the room, looking for an escape. She'd already tried the secret door before her first death, so she scanned the ceiling, throat closing up.
Michael frowned. Choose one? How could he choose just one? He had an idea who the doors belonged to, but what did choose one mean? Did he get to help save someone? He figured the demons would be able to get out fine, but what about the humans? He floated there for a moment before deciding to close his eyes and barrel through the nearest door. He floated back and forth for a moment before sharply turning right, breaking the wooden door down. He found Matthias dangling from several ropes in the middle of a hurricane of…pills? "Matthias!" he yelled
Matthias's eyes fluttered open to his name being called by a familiar voice. His mouth opened to call out but nothing came out.
There. The all-too familiar hidden hatch, the one that opened up to pour acid all over her almost every morning. Despite her terror, she grinned, waiting for the shadows to come closer. When they were a meter away, she sprang upwards onto the shoulders of the tallest one and jumped up, opening the hatch with one hand and dangling from the lid. SHe pulled herself up into it.
Michael floated there for a moment, not quite sure how to help Matt. He couldn't quite get to him in the storm of things surrounding him, but then he remembered that his face was more or less made of bone. Nothing can really hurt if you've got a bone face, right? He reached his head into the door, moving his flippers underneath Matthias. He reached up and snapped the rope around Matt's neck and then broke the other ropes. Matt fell to the floor and Michael dragged him out into the hallway
Lavender scrambled up the diagonally placed pipe, moving as quick as possible and dreading the coming of the acid. She needed to get as high up as possible so it wouldn't get her.
"Mi-chael…." Matthias croaked out of his bruised throat. He let himself be carried and he let his eyes remain closed, thankful to be out of that hell and to have a… a friend? His brow furrowed slightly in thought, he wouldn't know what an actual human connection would actually be. He sighed and relaxed the tension in his body.
Michael towered over him in the hallway, subconsciously trying to put as much of himself as possible between Matthias and the room he was trapped in. He chuckled a little when Matt spoke. "Yeah. It's Michael. Sort of."
"Heh–" his chuckle turned into a painful cough as shoots of pain went through his chest and neck at his movements. Once he was done and breathing normally, he managed to open his eyes finally and speak somewhat coherently, "I'll take –el – 'ort of. Any friendl– 'ace is nice." He didn't have the time or energy to freak out that he was talking to a huge floating bone-whale.
