Alex hummed, thinking back to her earlier questions. "I mean, it makes sense. We hallucinate things, and most people don't know demons are real." Suddenly the shadow man grabbed her arm. He'd never touched her before. His hands were cold and his grip was firm, almost painfully so. He dragged her off the sofa and through the doorframe before she could say anything. "Uh, Shadowman is dragging me somewhere!" She yelled.
Aika blinks and nods, following after them, her lab coat falling to the floor are she reveals her exorcist outfit.
Shadow man dragged Alex through a few doors until they reached a small metal door. The creature seemed agitated, kicking and scratching at the door as if it wanted Alex to tear it down. "Uh, he wants me to knock down this door," She said, one arm still clutched in his hand.
She walks swiftly after the other, her eyes narrowed. She nods when they come to the door. "Be my guest." She replies and smiles a little.
Shadowman pulled her into the room. It was a small library of sorts, covered wall to wall in shelves of books, both old and new. He yanked a particularly heavy looking book off one of the shelves in the back and smacked it onto the table, sending up a cloud of dust. It was an old bible. Shadowman hurriedly flipped through the ages until he found the passage he wanted. It was a picture of a demon king attacking earth with an army of demons similar to the one that Aika had banished in the asylum.
(Heading to bed, Talk tomorrow?)
Aika is quiet as she watches Alex closely. She walks behind the girl, looking around with curiosity, her eyes skimming through the books. She looks at the book with intense curiosity, stifling a small gasp. "This… These are the demons that I've banished." She whispers, "They're wrathful spirits, wanting to cause harm." Aika looks up, biting her lip.
Alex nodded slowly, turning to ask the Shadowman a question only to realize that he was nowhere to be seen. She turned in a slow circle, but the only people in the room were her and Aika. "I.. I think he was trying to tell me about something that's going to happen!" she cried.
She nods, looking at the book with wide eyes. "We need to tell my father…" She whispers. She takes the book into her arms and grabs Alex by the wrist. "Let's go."
Alex willingly let herself be pulled through that maze of a house until they reached Aika's father, who had been quietly reading a book of his own. He looked up when they walked in front of him, and Alex began to do her best to explain what she had seen. "The end of the world is coming!"
(Heading to sleep, sorry I wasn't on tonight :(
He raises an eyebrow. "Aika, is this true?" He asks curiously. She gulps and nods, pressing the book into his lap and pointing to it. "Those are all the demons I've put away." She mutters. Maximus nods. "In that case, I'll need to alert the rest of the exorcists. You think you can train this one here?" He asks. She nods.
Alex took a step back, shocked by his words. "You can't train me! I'm crazy. Y'know, locked ward and wary psychiatrist crazy!" She looked at Aika hoping for some support.
(I gtg, I'll be back around 1 or so)
Aika shakes her head, "You're not." She mutters, "I was certified crazy when I was six years old. Until my dad explained to me that people who see demons are very talented people. Our job is to keep humanity safe from these demons." She explains. "I wasn't sure if you were one of these people until today. The medicine I had been giving you was actually helping enhance and control your gift." She says softly.
