"Yeah." Dis said, continuing, the monster he'd killed was in it's death throes, and it had let out a screech earlier, the sound and smell would probably attract more of them.
Charlotte decided that she would have to kill the demon. As she approached it, she held out her knife, ready to slam it into its throat. But the minute she got close, the wolf’s eyes snapped open and it lunged, baring its teeth and snarling. Charlotte screamed and thrust her hands out, but when she felt nothing eat her up, just a gooey feeling on her hands, she peeked an eye open to see her knife impaled into the head of the wolf where its blood leaked out. Instead of red, the blood was purple and when Charlotte finally got back her senses, she realized that her hands, where a few drops of the blood dropped, burned. Panicking, she wiped her hands on her clothes. They still burned, but not that terribly anymore.
Waking up in an unknown place with barely no memories, check.
Large, bloodthirsty monsters looking to eat us, check.
Purple blood which burns your skin, check.
Charlotte couldn’t believe her luck.
"Hey guys." Dis called out, as he approached them. "It's done." He stepped into the light, there were a few nicks on his shoulder, and his weapon, was bathed in a myriad of different colors of blood. Carro strode in behind him.
"Three of them." He said. "I disposed of the bodies."
“Dis!” Charlotte exclaimed, still quite dazed. “Carro. You’re both okay!”
She went back to trying to take out her knife from the beast’s head, but the acidic blood seemed to coat it entirely.
“You didn’t get burned, right?” she asked the both of them.
"Nope! I am okay," had been Carro's response. Walking over to the wolf, he studies the blade still stuck in the beasts head. Wrapping his hands carefully around the handle, he had pulled, and the knife had slip easily out. He hands the blade back to you, noting that he doesn't seem to be burning.
Charlotte took the blade hesitantly, noting with confusion that Carro’s hand wasn’t burning. The acid wasn’t affecting him.
“Carro, you…” she looked at him, at his ears and then his tail. She shook her head, confused. Her head, for the first time since she got here, was silent. “I think we should all sleep,” she announced. “And then discuss the weirdness of this situation in the morning.”
Without any hesitation, Carro curls up on the floor, back pressed against one of the couches. Only a moment later, his breath evens out and his tail presses flush against him.
"Agreed." Says Dis.
“Instead of two people in one room like I originally suggested, I think it should be all girls in one room and all boys in the other,” Charlotte said. “That way, even if anything goes wrong, we’ll be in a group and we’ll have each other’s backs.”
"Either way." Dis says. Cleaning his weapon with the tissues on the checking table.
Carro is out like a light, and seems like he won't be awake for a while
“Someone will need to carry him,” Charlotte said, pointing to Carro. “We can’t leave him here.”
"I suppose I'll do it." Dis says, picking him up.
“Thank you, Dis,” Charlotte thanked him, smiling. “Let’s go, girls.”
