Aspen gave a small smile and shrugged "I guess you're right." She said playfully "I just think it would be nice to go somewhere else at some point, at least for awhile.

Bean nodded slowly, looking out of the window. “Yeah…I get that. I wouldn’t mind visiting my family soon, though…” she murmured, watching the people pass by. “I already love it here…but nothing beats home, y’know?”

Aspen nodded quietly "yeah, I guess I understand." She said quietly.
She pulled into a parking spot for a small cafe.

She unbuckled her seat belt and opened the driver door.

Bean unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the passenger door, smiling a bit. “But it’s nice to have someone like you with me,” she said softly, still smiling as she glanced at Aspen.

Aspen nodded and shot a small smile back.

"So, you miss home, but you like me?" She said aloud "I wonder what that's like?"

Bean giggled a little. “It’s interesting…which is nice because it’s different from what I’m used to,” she smiled softly as she looked around.

Aspen led her inside, seating them at a circular table in the corner, she picked up the menu and handed it to Bean, she had been here so often she knew the menu by heart, but for Bean, she knew she hadn't been many places, so the menu would help her order.

Bean took the menu, smiling a bit. “Thank you,” she murmured, sitting down. She started looking the menu over, humming.

Aspen waited quietly, pulling out her phone while Bean looked over the menu.
She saw a text from Max and opened it.

Max: hope you're having fun on your date rn :)

she texted back quickly, constantly looking up to check if Bean was done yet.
Me: yeah, were at Geralds cafe rn, might take her on a walk through the park after idk it depends on the time ig, I have class tomorrow.

Bean glanced up at Aspen, smiling. “I think I know what I want to eat,” she said, setting the menu aside as she looked out the window. Wow…it really is nice here. I love the scenery and the atmosphere… she thought, still smiling.

Aspen looked up and turned her phone off, sliding it into the back pocket of her jeans.
"What is it?" She asked curiously. "I personally love the hand baked sourdough bread, they bring it out on a little platter with cream cheese, chives, sprouts and tomatoes."

Bean pointed to a chicken club sandwich on the menu, humming happily. “It looks good,” she murmured before setting the menu aside. “Plus some good ol’ root beer!” she laughed lightly.

Aspen grimaced.
"I hate root beer." She stated "it's basically just mint flavored soda."

Aspen signaled for the waiter and she came over, Aspen told her she'd like water and Bean a rootbeer and their orders. Once the waiter turned away Aspen leaned closer to Bean, across the table.

"I love this place, it's technically a cafe but at night it's a restaurant." She told her.

Bean blushed slightly when Aspen moved closer to her. “R-Really? So it’s both?” she asked, still looking the other girl. “That must be really nice…” she murmured softly. Wow…she’s really pretty… she thought, still a bit red in the face.

Aspen nodded and then leaned back into her seat from across the table.
"Yeah," she said "it's great, I come here all the time."
She looked around, noting the candles on the tables that were lit and the fairy lights strung across the ceiling.

"I love it here." She stated.

Bean nodded in understanding, admiring the atmosphere. “I love the fairy lights…” she murmured, tracing her fingers on the table. And I’m sure my family would love it here too… she thought as she smiled a little.

Aspen nodded, admiring how the lights and candle lit up the dim cafe.
"My brother loved it here too, he showed this place to me." She said dreamily.
She smiled as the waiter dropped their drinks off on the edge of their table.

Bean perked up. “You have a brother…?” she asked softly, remembering her own brother. She smiled a little. Except for Lilac, her siblings were pretty energetic and sometimes chaotic. Lilac was the quiet one. Bean snapped out of her thoughts and looked back at Aspen before turning to the waiter. “Thank you,” she smiled softly, taking a sip of root beer.

Aspen nodded and sipped from the straw sitting in her glass of ice water.
"yes, I have an older brother." She told Bean "he has Down Syndrome, so he lives in a facility that cares for special needs people who are adults."

“Oh!” Bean hummed, tracing her fingers on the table. “Do you guys get along well?” she asked, smiling a little. She looked around the cafe in awe. “It seems like you do…”
