Bean soon arrived at the parking lot and rushed over to Aspen’s car. “Hey,” she smiled, waving at her.
Bean soon arrived at the parking lot and rushed over to Aspen’s car. “Hey,” she smiled, waving at her.
"Hi" Aspen said nervously, reaching over the console between the two seats to open Bean's door.
"Hop in" she said with a small, nervous smile.
Bean nodded, sitting down. “I’m really glad you asked me out,” she smiled softly.
Aspen smiled and waited for Bean to shut her door and put on her seatbelt.
"Me too" she said with a smile. "I think you'll love this place at night, all the lights and the stars are very bright and visible because we have low sky pollution here." She said reassuringly.
Bean nodded, shutting her door and putting on her seatbelt. “I bet…this place is beautiful,” she smiled softly.
Aspen smiled to herself. "Oh it's awesome" she said proudly, pulling out of the parking lot and taking a right, towards Olive Garden, where she planned to take Bean to eat.
"It looks like a big city sometimes, from far away all you can see is the lights." She said dreamily.
Bean smiled a bit more. “That sounds really nice…” she said as she looked around the city in awe.
Aspen pulled into the Olive Garden parking lot, she got out and opened Bean's car door for her and offered her, her arm.
"M'lady" she said politely
Bean laughed softly, taking Aspen’s arm gently as she got out of the car. “Thank you.”
Aspen shut Bean's car door gently, locking her car with the button on her keys.
"Here we are, the famous Olive Garden, the food is okay I think personally" she explained as she lead Bean inside.
They waited in line behind an older couple, who also were behind a family, waiting to get seated.
Bean sighed happily. “I’m really glad you asked me out tonight,” she smiled.
"uh me too" Aspen said awkwardly while clearing her throat audibly.
Bean smiled even more, gently grabbing Aspen’s hand. “It’s nice here…”
"mhm, and the food's okay" Aspen said, following a waitress to a two person table near the back right of the restaurant, then told the waitress she wanted water and looked to Bean, waiting for the other girl to tell the waitress what she wanted for a drink.
“Root beer’s fine!” Bean smiled softly, enjoying every moment of this. “Thank you.”
The waitress nodded and disappeared around the corner, Aspen figured to the kitchens or someplace where she could get them their drinks.
"So, how are you liking everything so far?" She asked with a small smile. "Im sure you'll see more than just around the school though" she assured Bean with a grin.
Bean smiled even more. “I love it here!” she sounded very happy. “My siblings were right to tell me to go to college in Arizona!”
Aspen smiled authentically at Bean showing her love for the state she had grown up in.
"Most people don't, seeing as the humidity and heat." She explained "but every once in awhile you get that one person that loves it despite its flaws" she added slowly.
Bean nodded, smiling a bit. “Yeah…I grew up in a less humid environment,” she shrugged. “I think the heat is nice.”
"I grew up with nothing but it, so I don't know how else to feel about it." Aspen said quietly.
She then looked out the window, as the sun slipped behind the horizon quickly.
Bean smiled reassuringly at Aspen. “That just means you have the best experiences here!” she said, trying to offer comfort to her.
