"I'm Ryuu, and I just want to help you," he explained, "What do you need? You look like a skeleton!"
"I'm Ryuu, and I just want to help you," he explained, "What do you need? You look like a skeleton!"
Kiranimi stopped grooming herself when a dark shape entered her vision. She got up from her peaceful position on the snowy dirt and growled.
"I do not wish to harm you if I do not have to. If you are unneighborly than leave now or face the consequences." She waved her tail back in fourth behind her haunches. Although her rigid stance, her eyes still shone amber.
((Shuriken, i'll be gone for a while. Hold out until i get back okay? I'm sorry. Ya'll can continue i'm just letting you know.))
"Need?" He looked down at himself. Is this not normal? He thought as he examined his tiny ribs jutting out of his skin. "I-I dunno… I don't really have food or shelter… or parents." Robin shrugged. He scarcely remembered what his mother looked like, but she wasn't a ginger cat. That gene must have come from his father, whom he had never met.
"Ok, uh….. what kind of food? I'll find you something," Ryuu offered.
"Um, y-you really don't need to, sir." Robin smiled weakly. "I'm… I can probably manage." He shook some snow from her fur, shivering still.
"Really? Seriously, just let me help," Ryuu insisted. He scooped up the kitten and set him on his back in between spines.
Well, guess I don't get much choice, then. He clung to the spine in front of him, trying not to fall off.
"Ok, so what kind of food do you want?" Ryuu asked the small kitten.
"Well, I-I can't hunt, so I usually eat berries and stuff."
"Oh, would you relax. Lucky for you, I'm just passing through." Mortuum said. He yawned, wagging his tail, and walked by.
"So, do you want berries or meat?" Ryuu asked.
"What does meat taste like? Is it hard to get? I wouldn't want to inconvenience you…" Robin lay his small head down on Ryuu's back, glancing from side to side. He'd never been this high in the air before.
"It's not too hard to get," Ryuu said, "I'll get you some," he glided down and made a pile of wood and shavings. He sparked it with his lightning and a fire started. He set the small kitten next to the fire, "Stay here and stay warm, I'll go get you some food," he said.
Robin shied away from the fire at first, but eventually fell asleep by it. It had been a while since he had felt warm.
Ryuu stalked around the woods and found a river, Cats like fish, right? he thought. He snatched fish out of the rushing waters and put them on his long back. He scuttled back to where the small, frail kitten was sleeping. He curled up next to the small kitten and waited for it to wake up.
The kitten snuggled closer to Ryuu in his sleep, tucking his tail under his chin. He hardly noticed the pangs of hunger at this point; he had grown used to them.
Ryuu smiled when the kitten snuggled closer to him. He made a pact with himself to protect the kitten as long as he lived.
After perhaps an hour, Robin blinked his eyes opened and yawned, stretching out his small paws in front of him.
"Want some fish?" Ryuu asked by the embers. He hadn't tended to the fire because he wanted to stay by the small kitten's side. He grabbed a few of the fish from his back and set them in front of the cat.
"Fish?" Robin sniffed the fish in front of him before taking a bite. "It's good! Do you want some?"
"I'm fine, I had a few while you were sleeping," he nodded to a small pile of fish bones.
"Oh, okay." He finished the fish before yawning again. That was all he could eat before being full.
"Where are your parents?" Ryuu asked.
