"Aww damn it! I love this hoody. Not many places that sell yellow. Aww." I pull it off over my head, leaving just a blue t-shirt with a white bow tie printed under the collar. I hold the hoody against my nose as the bleeding slows down slightly. "Well, should we go wake up the boss?"
Althea woke up with a start when she heard screaming in the living room. She shot out of bed and was standing in the living room in her thin pyjamas within seconds, blinking groggily. "Wassappening?" she said loudly.
Marco ruffled Alastair's hair. "This jackass woke me up by splashing water on my face."
"Haha, so who's making pancakes?" I giggle as Marco ruffles my hair. I rock back into a sitting position on the floor and wipe my nose.
Althea laughed softly and headed into the kitchen. "Pancakes it is." She started setting up the recipe.
"You want a hand? Marco knows I can make a mean cup of water." I giggle slightly, tying the bloody yellow yellow hoody around my waist.
"Stay away from my kitchen until the blood stops flowing," she threatens playfully.
"Hey-hey! Bloods stopped! See? Makes a great bit of decor to add to the criminal appearance list eh?" I smile, standing up and doing a small twirl.
Althea shakes her head. "I'll be fine on my own. You two can clean up the beds."
"Okay." I lean down, rolling up the camping mattress and blankets neatly and placing them on one of the sofas. I walk into the kitchen and sit on a counter, rocking my legs as I watch Althea, cook. "Did you have a nice dream?"
Althea focused her gaze on the batter. "I dreamt of Shrek and Fiona," she said mystically.
I dreamt of Alastair and I, Marco laughed. "Did you now?" He said turning to Althea. "That must have been hilarious!"
"I dreamt that a raptor was trying to have sex with me but I kept telling him that I don't love him like that, so he ate my leg while a watched a toilet strangle my mum until finally that huge spider from Bugs Life came in and killed me. What about you Marco?" I tap on the counter slightly.
Marco raised an eyebrow. "I dreamt of you, dickwad. I'm not getting into the details." I drummed my fingers on the table.
Althea burst out laughing. "Now thats is something I'd pay to see." She then turned to Marco, wiggling her eyebrows.
I feel my hands warm slightly, "Oh? Well then, double pancakes for this guy Althea!"
(omigod this is amazing I'm so glad it picked up again)
Marco smiled heat rose to his cheeks, "you two, knock it off. It was nothing. Really."
(It's just when us 3 have the time to talk together)
I giggle a little, looking out of the apartment window. A woman stands in the opposite building looking out of her window at me. She's holding a phone, clutching it tightly while talking to somebody. I smile and gently wave. She suddenly closes the blinds. "Althea your neighbour is weird."
Althea glances back at Alastair. "Oh yeah, her daughter's just been sent to a boarding school. She's still recovering."
I keep staring out of the window, "Yeah… Yeah okay. I was just… Nah nevermind." Nobody is that obvious when calling the police about a criminal, and I don't think people actually call the police for that anyway so… Nah I'm fine. "How're the pancakes coming along? haha."
