Luna scowled at all of them, "E-Esmea they aren't assassins. Th-they don't have the background you do, s-so head back to your quarters. C-cyrus, Sparrow, Uriah and I can handle the kids. S-so go get him checked out."
Luna scowled at all of them, "E-Esmea they aren't assassins. Th-they don't have the background you do, s-so head back to your quarters. C-cyrus, Sparrow, Uriah and I can handle the kids. S-so go get him checked out."
"I bet some of them do have a background like me, I just have been doing it longer." Esmea looked over at Luna, she was still underestimating them. "And I'll go to bed when I want. I'm done here, I warned yo and you didn't listen. Well, bye everyone." Esmea waved and started to walk off. Uriah wanted to go after her but Cyrus was the priority right now, he just hoped she wasn't about to get into trouble.
Luna looked over to Uriah as she walked up to him, "C-Come on, Sparrow can handle Cyrus. W-we need to catch up to her before she does something stupid, like break someone's arm."
"Yeah, go on," Cyrus encouraged Vida and Katya, "It's fine. I'm fine. It was an accident anyway."
Vida held her breath, her eyes growing big.
He sighed. "It was an accident, right?"
With that, Vida bolted.
Cyrus sighed. "I guess we'll take care of this later." His muttered a curse under his breath only loud enough for Sparrow to hear.
Katya bolted after Vida, she didn't want to get caught in the assassins fury. If they had any.
"Language!" Sparrow smirked, trying to get his mind off his pain.
Once he was sure the kids were gone, he sat back down on one of the steps.
"Well, goddamn," he whispered, basically unable to do anything but swear.
He covered his face with his good hand.
Uriah nodded. He walked up the stairs and ran after Esmea. "I'm sure she's not up to anything, but just in case."
Esmea went to the roof, her furry ferret following behind her. "So, now you show up. You can just come and go as you please." Esmea sighed and opened the door. Sitting on the edge she swung her feet back and forth. "What do you think Miki, can we trust them?" A squeak came from the little ferret. "You're right, I'm not sure either."
Luna was frowning heavily as she chased after Uriah. She now felt extremely overdressed for all this running, but what could she do. Both children seemed to be more devious then thought, and she supposed she owed Esmea an apology. Might as well take this opportunity to do so.
Once he was sure the kids were gone, he sat back down on one of the steps.
"Well, goddamn," he whispered, basically unable to do anything but swear.
He covered his face with his good hand.
"Well, I guess to the infirmary it is!" Sparrow said in a fake cheerful voice. She looked st him, wondering how to take him there
"Just uh… support some of my weight on this side," he said, motioning to his right, "And help me up, if you would please…"
Uriah stopped in front of the roof door, which was slightly open. "I just see her sitting. What do you think she is doing?"
Esmea pointed over to the trees. "See Miki, the sun is coming up. We lasted a whole other day, although I'm not entirely happy at where we are, but at least we're safe. For now." She knew the guild was going to come soon, for her and most likely the other kids as well. "Anyway Miki, we only have ourselves. We can't trust anyone." She picked him up and held him to her face. "And if you leave me again, I'll drop you from this building. Got it." Another squeak.
Luna listened in on their conversation, "S-seems like she's talking to her ferret. W-we should just leave her be Uriah. I-I don't think we should bother her."
"Y-yeah." Uriah leaned against the wall before standing straight. "Let's go check on Cy." He walked down the halls still feeling something was wrong, but he pushed it down. "What do you think about what the other girls did?"
Esmea looked to the door and sighed. "Seems like they're gone Miki. Acting innocent is hard work." She smiled and continued to watch the sunrise.
Luna walked with Uriah, "I-I think their hearts were in the right place, b-but they went about it the entirely wrong way. I-I just hope Cy is okay."
Sparrow did what Cyrus asked and helped him slowly go to the infirmary
(Hey, I have a new Rp called the Angel's Scar if yall want to join)
Cyrus winced as he put any weight on his leg. Meanwhile, he tried moving his left hand. he could, but it was stiff and starting to become swollen.
He sighed in frustration as they entered the infirmary, and he was led to one of the beds across the back wall.
"He fell down the stairs." Sparrow explained to the healer in the room
"My hand is broken, almost for sure," Cyrus explained, "And my knee might be, too, but I can't tell for sure. It feels pretty rough…"
The healer grabbed some ice and pillows. He rolled up Cyrus' pant leg up to just past the knee.
"I can't tell either. Not right now. It's very swollen."
He propped his leg up and put ice over the knee, then gave Cyrus another ice pack for his hand.
"Hey, could you turn down the light a bit?" Cyrus asked wearily, "It's really bright."
Sparrow nodded and turned the lights down
Cyrus sighed again. "I'm sorry, Sparrow…" he muttered, "I mean, who would've expected this?"
He held the ice pack to his hand, still cursing himself for his carelessness.
"Cy?" Uriah poked his head in the door, not wanting to come in if he didn't want visitors. "Mind if I come in?" He smiled and waited for Cyrus's response.
"Yeah… you're fine," Cyrus replied halfheartedly.
His ears started ringing, and he pressed his right hand over one of them as if this would make it stop. It didn't work, though.
Luna waited outside of the door out of sight, if she hadn't been so distrusting of Esmea this wouldn't have happened. Now Cyrus was injured and the blame rest on them all for ignoring the signs. The two girls needed to be taught a lesson, no. They were doing what their hearts told them, but it still didn't excuse them. They would need to find out why they did what they did, but until then Luna thought to just isolate herself so she didn't end up blowing up at someone.
"How are you feeling friend?" He knew exactly how Cyrus felt. Hurt, both physically and mentally. Uriah sat on the edge of his bed and took a breath.
"Shit hurts," Cyrus muttered, letting out a pathetic attempt at a laugh, "I just hope it's not too bad, ya know? As long as it doesn't do permanent damage or keep me out of commission for too long…"
"Im pretty sure you will be able to do everything, it's probably not that serious." Sparrow said
"Cy, if you need me to do anything just tell me okay?" Uriah was ready to do anything to help. He felt as if it was half his fault, but he didn't know why.
"Well, yeah, I figure. I'm mostly worried about my knee… Joints have a harder time healing a lot of the time," Cyrus said, "But I don't think it's that bad."
He turned to Uriah.
"Thanks for the offer, but I'm fine at the moment. We'll see what happens and how I recover first…"
