"That's true." He slammed the fridge door shut and went to see if they had any canned foods. "I could make vegetable soup." Uriah was fine with anything, he wasn't very picky. "Do you guys like vegetables?"
"That's true." He slammed the fridge door shut and went to see if they had any canned foods. "I could make vegetable soup." Uriah was fine with anything, he wasn't very picky. "Do you guys like vegetables?"
"Of course. Can't exactly afford to be picky," Cyrus said.
He sat back down where all of the papers were laid out for decoding and rubbed his brow. He wasn't sure what else they could do with this that wouldn't take extensive work.
"Okay, I think we should do what Andra suggested and try the alphabet code thing, like where A equals a different letter of the alphabet."
Eira sat down across from him and nodded, “Yeah, let’s try that.”
"Well, we'll probably have to have it set up twenty-five different ways, so we need to split up the work. Um… just write on top of the page, 'A equals whichever letter' and we'll eventually cover everything. But I'm not so sure about the stuff on here written in the Cyrillic alphabet. If only Alexander were here to help."
Cyrus ran a hand through his hair.
Eira nodded, “Yeah, if only he was.” She said before picking up a pen and starting on the Latin and Greek portions.
"Wait. You know the Greek alphabet. It's got it's similarities to the Cyrillic alphabet, doesn't it?" Cyrus asked as he was writing down his part, "You could always take a stab at it."
Uriah was curious as to what they were talking about, but continued to make the food, still listening in though. Soup was fairly easy to make and wouldn't take very long as well.
Eira looked up, “Oh, yeah… I guess I can try.” She said.
"That should at least fill in a few gaps," Cyrus reassured her. He scribbled a few more letters onto the page before his hand started cramping up. He switched the pen into his left, and his writing speed and legibility lowered immensely, but it didn't hurt. Cyrus quickly finished a quick A equals B page, with the exception of the portion in Russian.
Eira roughly finished the Greek and Latin parts before starting in the Russian. It wasn’t as hard as she thought it would have been and quickly had that part finished, “Well, that wasn’t as hard as I though it would have been.”
"Glad to hear it," Cyrus said, "Now, I hope it all comes out to mean something."
“Well… we already know a few things, but…” She shrugged, “Let’s see if anything works out.”
(Question, why did the other guys go back to the guild?)
(Uh, to collect supplies, I can’t remember)
(Maybe the note can be about that or something? Idk? Something that would've been key info to the group that went back, but it's useless because they've already gone?)
(Maybe… I have no clue what it should say though…)
(I'm going to bed. Night guys.)
(Goodnight. I should probably leave too, seeing as it's almost 3 am here… As for the note, we can think on it some more, and if no one comes up with anything, just imply what exactly it says.)
(Alright then, night guys, see you soon)
(Actually we went to destroy some type of mind control weapon. Not supplies.)
(Who said supplies?)
(We weren’t sure what they went in for. We just guessed supplies, but apparently that’s not right. Lol. Just wanted to make sure we knew before having the letter decoded.)
Uriah set the big pot of soup on the table and put spoons and bowls on there as well. They're old enough to get their own food if they want it. "What are you guys looking at?" He looked over Cyrus's shoulder.
“Before you got here, this strange letter was sent to us, and no one bothered to try decoding it until now,” Cyrus explained.
He got up and served himself a bowl of soup.
“Thanks, Uriah. It smells good.”
"Well." Uriah took the paper and looked at it throughly. "I can tell you no assassin wrote this. The hand writing is to nice, maybe they hired or threatened a noble to write it." Uriah has seen hand writing like this a lot in school, near and perfect. "Maybe you can search up nobles who are excellant at languages, maybe a professor? Sorry, if this doesn't help and makes things worse." He handed the paper back and got some soup for himself.
