"Well, is everyone ready?" Uriah picked up her body and looked at her face memorizing it, because this was going to be the last time he saw it. "Okay," he nodded preparing himself. Freedom followed behind him barking to put her down.
"Well, is everyone ready?" Uriah picked up her body and looked at her face memorizing it, because this was going to be the last time he saw it. "Okay," he nodded preparing himself. Freedom followed behind him barking to put her down.
Eira kept back her tears as she watched Uriah lower Zhavia’s body into the hole.
Uriah took the shovel and was the first to put dirt on her. "Who's next?" He held out the shovel waiting for someone to take it. He so badly wanted to jump in the hole and take out her body and demanded she wake up but that wasn't going to happen.
“I’ll go.” Eira said, taking the shovel and going the same as Uriah.
Cyrus drew just close enough to see Zhavia's peaceful face. He let himself imagine she was just sleeping; it was all he could do to keep himself from losing his mind.
"I'm sorry, Zhavia," he managed.
He was shaking so badly still that he could barely stand, and the pain in the back of his leg started to set in a little more. It was the only thing that kept him from dismissing this all as a nightmare.
his eyes seemed to be full of rage he muttered to himself "они будут гореть…" his eyes became more calm "i'm sorry Zhavia… i'm so… very sorry… it should have been me…"
Eira walked up next to Alex and took his hand in hers, resting her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes so she wouldn’t cry.
"it should have been me…" he said through gritted teeth. "she should have been here…" tears streamed down his face once more
“It’s okay, it’s not your fault, Alex…” She opened her eyes and looked up at him, “It shouldn’t have been anyone.”
Alex hugged Eria "She was like the sister i never had," he lowered his head "and now she's gone."
“I know, I feel the same.” She replied quietly, hugging him back.
"Eria…" his voice felt disturbingly filled with fear "i don't know what to do…"
When everyone got their turn, Uriah patted the ground to make it firm. "Well." Uriah looked around and saw some flower. He ran over with a shovel and dug it up. "I'm going to plant these here." With his hands he dug a hole and place the flowers gently inside.
“You’re going to be strong, for her and for everyone and for me. We’re going to kill those bastards that took her from us but not until we have a plan and have grieved properly.” She replied, placing a hand on the side of his face as she looked up at him.
he felt weak "Eria… we're gonna make them suffer…" his eyes looked as if they were filled with rage.
(Hi!)
(Hey!)
“I know,” Eira moved a lock of hair out of his face, “They will.”
"We blew up the place," Cyrus spoke up finally, "Is that not enough?"
"no… they knew you were coming, they were prepared. they more than likely sneaked through the under ground tunnels connecting via the sewer."
"What's even the point?" Cyrus sighed, more to himself than anyone. He was beginning to feel very tired and increasingly angry and anxious, and he began to limp away before Alexander had a chance to see what he was feeling.
he looked to Eria"i need sometime… would it be ok if i hung out with you for a bit?"
“That’s fine, let’s go for a walk.” She responded
"that would be nice." he took Eria's hand.
“Come on.” She said quietly, walking away from the group and the grave with Alex into the trees.
