Cyrus grabbed her hand and squeezed it, then let go. "I want to be here for you, but I'm going to spend every last possible second trying to save you," he promised before getting up and starting to go outside to find the herbal antidote that was listed on the papers. "Zhavia, we love you and we want you to get through this."
"I love you all." The blood from her leg made a puddle under her. Zhavia wasn't sure if she was dying from blood loss or poison anymore. "Dying is scary. I didn't think it would be this scary." More tears stained her colorless cheeks. "I'm sad they aren't here with us." Uriah was confused. "Who?" She smiled as her hand slipped from his hand. "My family. Alexander, Eira, Sparrow, Zoe, and even Luna." Her breath became shorter. "I can't fight anymore, I'm so sorry." Uriah shook his head tears finally falling down his face. One more tear slid down her cheek as she took her last breath. "Damnit!" He had to walk away, he could see her like that. The dagger Cyrus gave him flew through the air as he threw it at a tree. Why? It was hard for him to accept, he wanted it to be a dream. His legs gave out from under him and he fell to the ground and cried.
Cyrus was too shocked to cry when it was over. He turned to face her lifeless body, and it didn't feel real. None of it did. Cyrus' hands went numb.
"I… should've been faster…" he muttered, "It's all my fault."
Cyrus tried to keep a clear head, but it was hard to focus on anything besides what had just happened, and it was even harder to breathe. It was like a weight was sitting on his chest. There was literally an arrow sticking out of his leg, and he could not have cared less. He was too fixated on replaying everything in his head and thinking about what could've been instead.
(My poor heart can't take this at 3 in the morning.)
"It's not your fault, she knew there was no way to save her." No matter how many times her wiped his eyes more tears just kept coming. "She wouldn't want you to blame yourself." Finally getting the strength to stand he walked back in and looked over her body. "I want to properly bury. She would want everyone there though." Bending next to the body he moved a piece of hair out of her face. "I'm going to carry her back. Do you have a shovel where you guys are staying?" He wasn't going to leave the women he loved behind, he was going to do this the right way.
(Im so sad that I had to kill her. I'm crying right now. R.I.P My first RP character Zhavia.)
(WHYYYYYYYY ILLY!!!! WHYYYYYY YOU DO THIS?!!!!)
(I'm sorry! I didn't want too, but it's for the story. I didn't think it was going to hurt this much.)
"I'm sure we do," Cyrus replied hollowly. He was very quiet for a minute or so.
All in a rush of anger, he yanked the arrow from his leg and shouted, "Godammit! It didn't have to be this way at all!"
Cyrus winced a little when the arrow came free; it had a barbed tip and had done a lot more damage coming out. Blood poured from the wound, but he was too angry and upset to at least take care of himself. He grabbed his bag.
"Let's go. They could be on our trail."
(You thought wrong sniffles and throws tissue box away while grabbing another)
(I think it fits very nicely, actually, despite how many hearts it's breaking)
Closing her eyelids, Uriah carefully lifted her body. Freedom whimpers at his feet, even she can tell somethings wrong. "I'm sorry, I couldn't save her." He said to the dog, even though she couldn't understand him. "I'll follow you." Freedom stayed by Uriah the whole walk back.
(Cries. Its hard to say goodbye when you put so much time and work into a character, and she was my first, which makes it harder for me.)
Cyrus was limping, but making progress still. He lagged behind Uriah a bit, but eventually, they did make it to the hideout. Zelda rubbed up against Cyrus' leg to reassure him, but he pushed her away and stumbled inside, a bleeding and grieving mess. He had no idea how he was going to explain this.
(Yup. That's about how I feel when I have to kill off characters I'm seriously attached to. But I've yet to kill my character in an RP, so just ouch…)
Eira sat up when she heard the hatch open, she still felt crap but not as bad as before, “Cyprus? Is eveything okay?”
"No," he replied tersely before his injured leg began to give out. He desperately limped over to one of the chairs before he could fall.
This is going to be a first meeting for some of them and he had to bring back the dead body of Zhavia. This is the worst. Freedom laid next to the body and put her head on Zhavia's chest.
Eira stood up and walked over to Cyprus, “Cy, you’re my best friend, please tell me what’s wrong, apart from your leg.”
"She's f***ing dead!" Cyrus shouted, slamming his fist down on the table. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths, but felt no calmer.
“Zhavia… is dead?” Eira sat back and ran a shaky hand through her hair, “And my last words to her was that I couldn’t forgive her…” She said quietly feeling tears fall down her face.
Cyrus ran a hand through his hair, tugging at his curls. He didn't know how to explain it to her, at least not without breaking down. He was visibly trembling. Even his breathing was shaky. Cyrus was beginning to feel light-headed.
(Bye! I got way too into this and next thing I know, it's 3:45 AM)
It was taking a while, so Uriah decided to go check on everyone. "Freedom, stay." He opened the hatch and climbed down. Blood was all over his clothes dirt and tears stains were on his face. "We really should start burying her, we don't want the body to lay out that long." He looked up to see everyone. Some faces he's seen before and some he hasn't.
Eira calmed herself down and stood, placing a kiss on Cyrus’s cheek, “We can get through this, for Zhavia.” She said, before walking up the ladder to where Uriah was.
