“You go then!” Andion hissed back, looking over his shoulder as he walked to the desk, “If you don’t want to get caught, you go.”
“You go then!” Andion hissed back, looking over his shoulder as he walked to the desk, “If you don’t want to get caught, you go.”
Blaine's eyes flashed as she glared at him.
"Much as I hate you, I don't want you to get caught, either," she said, trying to keep her voice low. "Plus, I'm not sure if Thranion would be pleased if you were caught."
Andion rolled his eyes and picked up the stack of papers, flicking through them quickly. Slave trades, weapons trades, more slave trades. How many salves did this guy need to trade? He folded the papers and stuffed them in his coat.
“There’s one more thing we need to do.” He said, walking to the window and climbing down.
Blaine but back a sharp remark and followed Andion out the window. She climbed down, trying to keep up with the man.
"What. Are. You. Doing?"
“Saving hundred of helpless peoples lives.” Andion snapped. He made his way down a secluded ally and took out his flint and stone and burnt the papers.
"That's not what we're here for! Someone is going to see that smoke and find us!" Blaine hissed, her eyes darting around.
“I don’t give a shit, if you’re scared then leave.” Andion snapped as the last papers burnt.
Blaine glared at him. "I'm not scared, I'm cautious. There's a difference."
“Lucky for you, I’m finished what I needed.” Andion glared right back as he left the papers that were smoking slightly and walked out the alley.
Blaine huffed and followed him, once again.
"We'd better not get caught. If we get caught, I'm blaming you."
“We’re not going to get caught.” Andion said, his voice was cold and any fun he’d felt from this mission had gone.
"We'd better not," Blaine growled, reaching back to check on her bow. "If we do, I'll–"
Two rough looking men were walking right at them, no doubt of the kings guard from the way they were dressed.
“Hey! What are you doing down here?!” One called, reaching for his sword.
Blaine glared fiercely at Andion.
"I'm going to kill you."
“Not if they kill you first.” He replied before taking his sword out and running at the guys come towards them.
They too, now had their weapons out and were charging at them.
It was too close for Blaine to use her bow, no matter how much she would have liked to, so she pulled the dagger from her boot.
"I'm still going to kill you!" she shouted at him.
“I don’t care.” He called back.
He kicked the biggest guy in the stomach, sending him falling to the ground. He was soon up and charging with his sword out apbut Andion dodged and stabbed him from behind.
Blaine took on the other man, slashing at him like she didn't know what she was doing. When the man smirked, Blaine sliced through his tunic's sleeve, wounding him at the same time.
That has just been a warning cut. If he dared to think she was any less of a fighter than a man, she would prove him wrong with a slow and painful death.
The man turned on Andion and slashed at his arm, missing by an inch. Andion growled and kicked him in the groin before stabbing him in the chest, pushing him to the ground at the same time.
Once he was down, he twisted the dagger slowly, releasing more blood. Andion placed his hand over the mans mouth to muffle his screams.
Blaine ducked to avoid getting punched in the face, then kicked the man in his knee. A crack told her that she'd broken his leg, and he fell to the ground with a shout of pain.
Blaine quickly took the opportunity to drive the dagger into the hollow of his throat, effectively silencing him.
Andion stood and removed his dagger, blood dripping to the ground in an even pattern. He shook his head and placed it in its sheath.
“Let’s go.” He said, walking swiftly back to the guild.
Blaine took her dagger out and wiped it clean on the back of the man's shirt. She put it back in her boot, the quickly followed after Andion. As they walked, she refused to speak to him or even look at him, still annoyed that they'd run into trouble because of him.
“Stop sulking, it was two men, nothing major.” Andion said, looking over his shoulder at Blaine. He too, had a scowl on his face but it wasn’t because of the trouble they’d run into.
"This time! It was two guys this time!" Blaine exclaimed.
Andion rolled his eyes, “You’re over reacting, Blaine.”
