Blaine rolled her eyes and faced him.
"Another round, or are you done for today?" she asked, giving him a look.
Blaine rolled her eyes and faced him.
"Another round, or are you done for today?" she asked, giving him a look.
“We don’t want you getting injured before the mission now, Lady. I’ve got work to do anyway.” Andion replied, picking up his sword.
"Coward," Blaine mumbled under her breath as she walked back to the curtain to change again.
Andion rolled his eyes, “See you later, Lady. Don’t injure yourself.”
Blaine huffed and went behind the screen. She muttered angrily under her breath as she changed back into her normal clothes.
I can't believe him. This is ridiculous. He treats me like I have no idea what I'm doing!
Andion whistled to himself as he headed to his room to prepare for the nights mission.
Why Blaine? Out of ever assassin here, I had to be out with Blaine.
(Want to skip to the mission?)
(Sure. Are you going to start it? Or should I?)
(I can)
The assassins were perched on the rooftop, scouting the building. Farron was still in his meeting with three other men so Blaine and Andion’s just had to wait a little while longer.
Blaine glanced around from the place where she and Andion were waiting. So far, she had not seen any dogs or anything walking around the perimeter.
"That's a relief," she murmured under her breath.
“There’s two guards on the roof.” Andion muttered as his gaze was drawn to the two men on the roof, “You’ll need to take them out.”
"Easy," Blaine said, taking her bow from her back and drawing an arrow.
She pulled it back and aimed while she waited for the perfect time. If she hit the first guy too soon, the other would be able to sound an alarm, and that would wreck the whole mission. If she did shot too late, then they would both notice and she and Andion might be spotted.
Letting out a breath, she released the first arrow, hitting the man she had aimed at right in his gut. He toppled over, and the second man came to check. She quickly grabbed another arrow, drew it back, and then shot this guy, as well. Another hit.
"There."
Andion smirked, “Show off but good job.”
At that moment, the men in the meeting stood and shook hands with Farron and then left. Farron himself sat back down once they left and grabbed some papers, signing the bottom of the page before grabbing some others, lost in his work.
“It’s time.”
"Let's go, then," Blaine said with a smirk. She placed her bow on her back again and made sure she could still move well with it there.
IAndion slid down the pole on the side of the building and quickly ran across the street and jumped the fence. He then proceeded to scale the wall to Farron office.
Blaine followed suit, quickly catching up to Andion.
"So, what's the plan?" she asked, barely glancing over at him.
“When we get in, we need to kill him quickly so he doesn’t alert anyone.” He said, perching on the window ledge.
"Okay, and if we get caught?"Blaine asked. "What then?"
Andion smirked, “Kill them all.”
He pushed open the window and silently crept into the dimly lit office.
Blaine's eyes lit up as she quickly and quietly slipped inside.
Seriously? That's his answer to fixing the problem? That's perfect…
Farron hadn’t noticed the two assassins slip into the office and he continued to work. Andion peered over his shoulder and saw him signing documents for slave trading.
”Slave trading? Who knew.” Andion said. Before Farron could do anything else, Andion placed his hand over the others mouth, ”You can do the honours this time, Lady.”
Blaine laughed, shaking her head. She pulled a dagger out of her boot and held it up to Farron's neck.
"Good evening, sir! And goodbye!" she said as she shifted the position of the knife and stabbed it into his chest. She slowly pulled it out, tilting it as she did that so it would draw more blood. If he hadn't died of that, he'd at least die of blood loss.
Farron started to cough up blood and couldn’t stop. He clutched his chest and did nothing as he starting to lose consciousness.
Andion picked up the paper that he had just signed and frowned at it. Eventually ripping it to pieces.
“Let’s go.” He said, turning to the window.
Blaine wiped the blood off her knife on Farron's shirt, then stuck the dagger back in her boot. She walked back over to the window and glanced out, making sure there wasn't anyone waiting for them.
Climbing out, she turned to ask, "You coming or what?"
Andion didn’t reply to Blaine, instead he turned to the other stack of papers on the desk, likely other trades he was planning. He clenched his fists, trying to keep calm. He should destroy them, burn them, at least throw them out the window.
"Let's go," Blaine hissed, her eyes darting around frantically. "You're going to get us caught!"
