@Chameleon the Slytherpuff and Slitherpuff
"Wait here," Hannah tells them and rushes off somewhere.
"Wait here," Hannah tells them and rushes off somewhere.
"But there are books, right?" Hannah asks, "We only have so many in here."
"Yeah, loads. We come across a library every so often, I like to pick up a few books every time we see one. Want to read some?" she asked, shaking her bag.
"But there are books, right?" Hannah asks, "We only have so many in here."
"Yeah, loads. We come across a library every so often, I like to pick up a few books every time we see one. Want to read some?" she asked, shaking her bag.
"Later, want to see something cool?" Hannah asks,"Just wait here."
Livia happily joined in and took a few old textbooks from her bag. Most of them were science and anatomy-related. "I've got some over here, too. May not be what you like to read."
"Yeah, something cool sounds… brilliant!" Melody said.
"Everyone sit down!" Hannah calls from somewhere above them. The big screen flashes and flickers before turning on and some movie called Bridge to Terabithia starts.
Hannah rushes back down and flings herself into a seat before reclining it a little.
"Pretty awesome, right?" She asks.
"Is this… a movie?" Livia asked, "That's pretty cool." She chose a seat a couple of seats away from Hannah.
"I know right!" Hannah exclaims,"It's so hard to believe people had time to just come to these places with their friends and watch these things without worry." She giggles slightly,"But of course, I don't have any friends." She says,"What's the point if you might end up dead?"
"Friends in the right places might help you end up not dead," Livia replied, "Of course, I doubt that's what friends were used for back in the day."
"Oh, no, I've read about it. Friends back then would style your hair and talk on the phone with you about boys and how school was such hell." Hannah says,"And they would go to malls like this all the time and give each other nicknames. The closest I got to a nickname is the one my brother used to call me."
“Well I’ll call you Anna!” Olivia replied
"Anna? How did you get that from Hannah?" Hannah giggles.
"You talk about friends like they're some old fantasy tale. Friends aren't like that, friends protect their friends and that's all there is to it." Melody said.
"Well, I wouldn't know." Hanah says,"Like I said, the closest thing I got to friends was fantasy tales."
"My parents used to call me 'Liv' for short," Livia said, "but I don't have much experience with nicknames. I do like doing hair, though. Would you like me to style yours sometime? It should be quite different doing it on another person." She turned to Melody, "Perhaps true friends are there to protect you in the end, but fair weather friends will at least be there for good times."
"Well, I'll be your friend if you want." Melody said to Hannah.
"Anna? How did you get that from Hannah?" Hannah giggles.
Olivia smiled “Hannah without a h sounds like Anna. Besides friends are always someone you can count on.” She replied.
"Aww, thanks." Hannah says,"But as for the hair, styling it differently is a strict no. My brother always styled it with two pigtails in front and hair loose in the back. He liked weird hairstyles. I never want to change it.
"Well, Anna is definitely a step up from Duck." Hannah giggles.
“Why did your brother call you Duck?”
"Ah, okay," Livia sighed, "It's perfect as it is. It's always fun to try new things, though." She pulled down her hair from its tight dutch braid and worked out the tangles. "God, my hair's been in this braid for a week, no less."
"It's our-was our favorite animal. Now it's just mine." Hannah tells her,"And he said that insults and problems rolled off me like water of a duck's back.
“Well the only thing I know how to do in do knots in my hair!” Olivia laughed
