Elody woke up with the sun, checking her alarm clock, which read 7:00am. Nerves flowing freely through her veins and wreaking havoc on her concentration, she slipped on a pair of ripped blue jeans and an orange Camp Mikiwani t-shirt. Jesus Christ Grace. You’d better not die today. She blinked a tear from her eye, brushing her hair and heading down to breakfast.
(sorry it wouldn't let me on for a while) When Grace's sister was finally done she shouted, "I'm going to Elody's!" and was out the door.

Amber looked around at her makeshift shelter for the last time. Her entire family had been taken before her and now it was her turn. It was the day of her trial and she couldn't be more terrified. at least I won't starve she would've almost laughed at that thought if it wasn't so depressing
"Hey Mrs.Cutcliffe!" Grace said as if today totally couldn't cost her and Elody's life.
(Welcome!)
(I gtg tonite, sorry)
(Be back tomorrow, I promise)
Ms. Sutcliffe smiled weakly, greeting her warmly. She was obviously terrified for both her daughter and her daughter’s best friend, who was so close she was almost like her niece. “Elody’s just finishing up breakfast in the kitchen, why don’t you come in?”
(Sorry, I was with my friend) "Thanks!"
Elody was sitting tiredly at the table, gloomily spooning cereal into her mouth.
"Hey! Smile, today is the day that I don't die, and therefore you don't die!"
Elody couldn’t look her friend on the eye.
"It'll be fine! Think I'll compete in normal competition, or by myself the whole time?" Grace asked.
“Probably by your self.” Elody coked up. “Are you sure about this, Grace?”, she whispered, terrified. “Thank you so much for doing this. I-“ A tear trickled down her face.
"No problem, you would have done the same." Even though Grace was shrugging everything off, she was terrified, but she had to keep up the act, for Elody.
Elody nodded. "I'm ready, let's head out."
(sorry I was having dinner) "Ya, I'm supposed to be half a hour early."
They left the house, chatting as if nothing was about to happen.
