Ekon nodded, pulling one of his arms away from around her to motion to the water. "To see amazing sights like this, though flying over the water at sunset or sunrise is even better." He put his arm back around her so she wouldn't fall before flying higher into the air.
Avantika sighed. "Back where I came from, we didn't have pretty sights like these. It was all just the same old thing, and it got quite boring after you explored it all." She wouldn't divulge the information that it was Hell, because frankly, she didn't want to get dropped into the ocean.
He nodded "I can't really say the same..the place I came from was beautiful and you could explore and explore and never get bored." He smiled at a memory before shaking his head and continuing to fly back to the city.
"Really? That sounds so much better than He-home," Avantika rushed to fix her mistake, cheeks turning slightly red. Oh no.
Ekon glanced at her "I know what you are," He said softly "I'm not going to judge you because of it, and I'm not going to drop you." He looked up at the city and flew faster, landing on the roof of a building.
Avantika gently untangled herself from Ekon, jumping down onto the roof. A laugh escaped her as she heard his words. "You'd be the first," she said, glancing up at him and then away. People were few and far between who didn't judge her for being a demon, a half one at that.
"Well then, I guess I'm the first," He looked at her and smiled softly, "Trust me, I won't judge you," His wings folded back behind him and he looked up at the sky, wondering what to do for the rest of the day.
"Well, if you know what I am, I think it's more than fair I know what you are," she gestured to his wings. "Angel? A hybrid?"
"Full angel," He replied with a nod, "Are you a full demon? Or half? I would say half since you don't have wings, but have the horns," He stretched one of his wings out momentarily before pulling it back in.
"Half. I got kicked out of Hell when they figured out I wasn't growing my wings," Avantika shrugged, sitting down on the edge of the building. "Momma was messing around with a human and got herself pregnant."
Ekon nodded, sitting down beside her. "Do you like it here?" He asked, motioning to the city "This place doesn't even compare to Heaven..that place is beautiful, but this must be an improvement from hell."
"It's a definite improvement, Hell was terrible," Avantika laughed. "I was kind of glad they kicked me out; I didn't want to spend an eternity there."
"Yeah…that wouldn't be fun.." He smiled and looked out at the city, chuckling "This place isn't that bad….besides the pickpockets..and dirty streets..and thieves…and having to find a decent job.."
"How come you're here, and not back up in Heaven?" Her mouth burned at the word 'heaven,' a word forbidden to speak in Hell. She twisted her mouth, trying to get rid of the blood taste in her mouth.
"I was thrown out..long story, very boring and kinda painful to tell,' He said simply, glancing over at her. He looked back at the city and sighed, "I'm officially bored."
"What? Am I not enough to entertain you?" Avantika teased, bumping against Ekon gently.
