Avantika lightly touched his wings, running her hand up and down. The wings were soft and smooth; probably great for keeping warm. “Flying? That would be great!”

@gracehustle

Ekon chuckled "Good, as soon as I finish a few more packages I can take you flying." He nodded and looked down at her, folding his wings back in and walking over to the pile of boxes to pick up another one.

“Okay,” Avantika popped back on one of the larger crates, whistling a tune she had heard a long time ago. He fiddled with the strings of her hood, tightening and untightening them.

@gracehustle

He grabbed two crates before heading to the ship and dropping them off. "What is in these?" He asked the captain of the ship, getting no answer. He sighed and walked back to the crates, taking another trip.

Avantika continued to whistle her tune, looking around the docks. It was busy today, and the salty air stung her nose slightly. It was a perfect setting to people watch, so that’s what Avantika did until Ekon got done with his work.

@gracehustle

Ekon quickly finished his job, brushing his hands off on his pants before nodding at Avantika, "I'm all done, are you ready to fly?" He unfolded his wings and made sure that they were out of the way.

Avantika nodded enthusiastically. “Yes,” She couldn’t wait to fly. Other demons in Hell had wings, and she had always been jealous of them. To be able to fly and feel free anytime you wanted? Sign her right up.

@gracehustle

He nodded again, stepping closer to her and wrapping his arms around her waist "Hold on," He said before lifting them into the air with a powerful sweep of his wings. they hovered for a moment just above the buildings before he tightened his arm and smiled, going higher and heading out over the ocean.

Avantika let out a tiny yelp as he lifted them into the air. Tightening her grip around Ekon, her eyes flickered, trying to see as much as possible. She had never been up this high, and this was evident as her happiness rose to a whole new level.

Then Avantika’s eyes dropped down to the ocean, and her fear spiked. She absolutely hated water, as it was the i lynch thing that could extinguish her fire.

@gracehustle

He smiled and flew farther over the water, flipping onto his back and gliding through the air for a moment to give Avantika a chance to look around. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" He asked softly before flipping over and pushing them higher into the sky with his wings.

“Yeah, it is,” Avantika responded softly, gazing at the scenery. The city was a beautiful place to be in, and even more so to look at. The unfamiliar sense of feeling free entered her veins, and she threw her head back, a laugh escaping.

Unbeknownst to get, her hood had fallen from its proper place on her head, revealing her horns.

@gracehustle

He chuckled lightly, noting that she looked like she was having fun. He studied her face closely before looking up at her hair, barely holding in a look of shock as he saw her horns. He shook his head and focused back on flying so that they wouldn't fall. Demon or not, he wasn't going to let her die or drop her while he was flying.

Avantika grew confused as she saw Elon shake his head. Did he see something…? She looked around, seeing nothing out of the ordinary. Only then did she realize that the wind was brushing through her hair. Your hoods off, idiot.

Her hands slowly rose to her head, feeling her horns. Shit. Fear shot through her, and she scrambled to get her hood back up and tightened before he could do anything to them.

@gracehustle

Ekon went silent, trying his best not to look at Avantika so he wouldn't drop her. "Well, that's an interesting surprise," He joked, nodding at her hood and trying to lighten to mood at least a little. His arms tightened around her as he gave her a weak smile "I won't drop you I promise, but I'm going to go into a dive so be ready."

Avantika nodded mutely. She avoided looking at Econ, just knowing that look of disgust was probably plastered on his face. Good job, you just messed up a blooming friendship. “Sorry,” she mumbled. She didn’t know quite what she was apologizing for, but it felt like she needed to.

@gracehustle

"For what?" He said before flipping backwards so his wings were below him. He wrapped his wings tightly around them both, letting them fall faster and faster towards the water. The feathers created a layer around them, protecting them from the cold air as they fell. He laughed happily, seeing the sea grow larger and larger below them.

Avantika’s answer got lost in the wind as they fell faster and faster towards the water. Her eyes grew large as she saw the sea below them come closer and closer, and a scream tore itself from her throat. She hated the water, absolutely despised it. It was the only thing that could ‘put her out.’ Pressing herself closer to Ekon, she squeezed her eyes closed and braced for impact.

@gracehustle

Ekon smiled and pulled away from the water just in time, only the bottom of his wings getting wet. A laugh escaped him and he flipped over, holding her tight enough to himself that she wouldn't get sprayed. They skimmed just above the water and he forgot about the world for a moment, completely lost in the moment.

Avantika pressed herself closer to Ekon, eyes still closed shut. She could tell that they were right above the water by the sound his wings made on the sea. It was quite calm, actually. She found herself relaxing, and Avantika gradually opened her eyes to see the beautiful landscape.

@gracehustle

He chuckled and glanced at Avantika, smiling as he pulled away from the water and started back to the city. They were still near the water but not low enough to touch it. "This is why I travel," He said softly, almost as if he was talking to himself.

“To see the world?” Avantika questioned, looking up at Ekon before glancing away. Then she just realized her position; currently lying on who she supposed was an angel who just took her flying. She internally smiled. Her mother would be so furious.
