Ferran looked up a the thing he had bumped into. It was…a shelf? "Where are we?" He asked rubbing his head.

(I've got to go briefly, but I'll be back in 5 minutes or less.)
(K!)
(Well, a little more than 5 minutes…)
Alice looked around. "I think… I think we're in a comic shop."
(Sorry I took awhile! I had to eat lunch…)
Ferran's eyes went wide. Really?
(It's okay.)
She thought for a moment. "It make sense, really. That if we came out of the book, we would appear near it. And look!" She pointed to one of the comics on the shelf. "It's us!"
Ferran peered at where she was pointing. "I look like that?"
"Of course not!" she joked, "You look way uglier than that."
Ferran frowned. "Really?"
Alice shook her head, blushing. "Uh… of course not!"
"Oh….well…you look pretty accurate on that…" He mumbled.
She looked at the drawing of herself on the cover of the comic. It was her, all right, though the thought didn't make her feel any better. For the first time, she actually wished she was prettier. She looked away, changing the subject. "So what do we do now?"
Ferran thought for a moment. "Get out of this closet? I don't know…"
"Okay, let's go."
(Why not what?)
(I've got to go but I'll be back later today.)
(Okay see ya!)
(Back.)
(Why not what?)
(Never mind, I'll change it.)
(I'm back..)
Ferran stood up as best he could in the cramped closet.
(Where does the closet lead?)
Alice opened the door and cautiously stepped out, Ferran close behind.
(I'm thinkin the authors house…OH IDEA!!!)
Ferran looked around. They were in a bedroom, a very messy one at that. Clothes were scattered everywhere, along with paper and random objects. "Whoa…where are we?"
"In the author's house, I suppose. How should I know?"
He shrugged. "You can read minds! And that's really cool! I just move faster than most…"
She looked down. "It's not really that cool. Kind of irritating, really."
