Cicada grinned a little as the girls cheeks heated up. Fire and heat were a speciality of hers after all, "Okay, if you do trip again. I'm carrying you, no questions asked."
Cicada grinned a little as the girls cheeks heated up. Fire and heat were a speciality of hers after all, "Okay, if you do trip again. I'm carrying you, no questions asked."
She nodded regretfully and continued walking, making sure she watched where she stepped.
Cicada continued on, navigating the destroyed city streets back to where she stayed. It had a considerable more amount of fire damage then the rest of the city.
"When are we gonna be there? I have injuries that the fire caused" she asked, wincing as the burn on her arm deepened. "If you want me to live you need to heal me, somehow" she whined.
"You'll get healed once there," Cicada sighed, "So stop whining mortal. A little burn won't kill you."
"Yeah actually, it could cause serious infection and the infection could spread to my bloodstream and kill me in seconds" she replied, her voice sharp and tentative.
"Yes, but right now that's not happening is it? If it was happening I would have left your corpse behind a while ago," Cicada snapped at Nikki.
"Why don't you just leave me alone? Why didn't you kill me just then and there if I'm sure a nuisance!" she yelled, her body shaking as she pulled her hand away from hers.
Cicada stopped and turned to face Nikki. She frowned as she said, "Because your not a nuisance, your a human and I want a human."
"You're lying. Demons don't want inferior beings like me…" She muttered, pulling the gun out of her pocket and putting it to the bottom ok her chin, "please, just let me go" she cried
Cicada glared at Maria, "Back off, she's mine."
She slowly advanced towards Nikki, "Of course we want you. That's why I'm not going to let you go, so just come with me and I promise everything will be okay."
"Who's we?" She asked, placing her finger on the trigger as she stepped closer, "don't touch me!" she cried, tears running down her cheeks
"By we, I mean demons overall," Cicada said stopping in her tracks, "But I'm the one that wants you."
"I don't want this…" She cried, her grip on the gun loosening
"You're safer with me then out on the streets," Cicada tried appealing to logic, "Nothing bad will happen to you, if you just stay with me."
"There are no streets, crazy! You destroyed them all! You destroyed my brother!" She cried, her body now shaking violently
"That wasn't me! That was a different demon," Cicada said, if she could get to Nikki she could take the gun. She took a small creeping step forward, "It's safer then the buildings then if there are no streets."
(How should I bring Ashton back into this?)
"That wasn't me! That was a different demon," Cicada said, if she could get to Nikki she could take the gun. She took a small creeping step forward, "It's safer then the buildings then if there are no streets."
"Don't lie to me" she sobbed, her wrist loosening and the gun falling to the side.
(Urm…Ashton could be in the alleyway that my character is in)
Cicada moved quickly forward grabbing the gun and taking it away. She sighed, “What makes you think I’m lying little one?”
"Demons always lie" she replied, tears running down her face quickly
"Not this demon," Cicada responded to her. She just fudged the truth occasionally.
She dropped to her knees in front of her, not caring what the demon thought of her, "You're sure?" she asked, her eyes flickering in the dim, cloud-covered sunlight.
Cicada nodded a small smile on her face, "Positive."
