"Why do I need it? It's stuck! Help!" He scratched at the cone desperately. "Oww! It's pulling on my skin!"
"Why do I need it? It's stuck! Help!" He scratched at the cone desperately. "Oww! It's pulling on my skin!"
"Leave it." Thatcher said, placing his hand on his paw, "It there to help you."
“It’s uncomfortable, but it helps.”
Lucas seemed like he disagreed, but he ceased his struggling anyways and hung his head a bit, looking dejected. The cone felt like it was weighing him down, and he had a feeling he'd trip over it a lot.
"We're going to bring you home Lucas." Thatcher muttered, petting him.
"Okay… any place is better than here…" He tried again to change back into his human form, but was met only with excruciating pain. He collapsed onto the table, gasping for breath and trembling. Bad idea.
“Do want me to carry you?”
"Sure… I wasn't able to walk earlier, right? I don't really remember. My head's all foggy…"
“Yep, yep.” Aaliyah nodded, she scooped Lucas up.
"C'mon…" Walking to the door with his 'Children', he asked, "Do you two have any money? I'm broke."
While they were walking, Lucas just fell asleep in Aaliyah's arms. He was exhausted, both from the day's events and the anesthesia used earlier. The medicine numbed his pain for the timebeing, but it would come back.
“I have some,” Aaliyah whispered.
"Let me see, I have to pay the doctors."
“… whelp I only have like 80.”
"So we're in duet? Lucas? do you have money?"
Lucas groaned a bit and lifted his head. "Not on me, but I've got a bit at home."
"Oh good! We can pay the bill once we add up the money we have."
"Mhmm…" Lucas fell back asleep, his fur pretty disheveled.
“Doggo.” Aaliyah whispered.
"Lets just get home."
(!Time Skip~)
(Yay! But to when?)
(we get home? well your home?)
(Aaliyah or Lucas?)
(I mean, don't they live with Thatcher?)
(No thatcher is homeless, I thought you two live in the orphanage?)
