“Of course.” she nods, understanding his logic. “Am I right in thinking that Brisha and his wife never had a child before she died?”
“Of course.” she nods, understanding his logic. “Am I right in thinking that Brisha and his wife never had a child before she died?”
Aaron nods. “Yeah…thats why he thinks of me as a son…even my own parents think of him as my father.”
“I see.” she nods. “I wasn't aware that you knew how he felt but he did mention that to me while you were resting.” she admits.
Aaron smiles, “Aw…well I know…and so do my parents…we all love him to bits…”
Meg smiles warmly and kisses his cheek. “Well, I think that’s wonderful.”
He leans into her, closing his eyes. “Mhmm…” He hums softly.
She sighs happily at the sound and lays beside him.
Aaron keeps humming a soft tune, slowly dozing off.
“Getting tired again?” she asks softly with a small smile.
He chuckles softly, nodding. “Mmph…”
She hums. “Do you want me to leave or should I stay until you fall asleep?”
He hums sleepily, “Whatever…you want…my love…” he murmurs.
Meg blushes at the epithet and kisses Aaron’s forehead. “I’ll stay then and come back tomorrow.” she promises.
He smiles softly, his eyes staying closed. “Mmm…” He yawns slightly, then soon falls asleep, looking peaceful.
She smiles as she watches him fall asleep. “I’ll see you tomorrow… love.” she whispers, kissing his cheek before carefully getting up from the bed and leaving.
Brisha was working out in the hall, looking quite tired. He looks at meg and smiles. “Hello dear…heading home?”
“I am.” Meg nods, smiling politely at Brisha. “Aaron’s doing much better now that his fever has broken. But I think he still needs to rest.” she assures.
Brisha smiles warmly, “Thank you, dear…you have no idea how much help you’ve been.”
“I’m glad to help at all.” she admits.
Brisha nods, “You go get some good rest. Thank you again…”
“Thank you, sir.” she smiles. “I'll see you tomorrow.”
Brisha nods, “Stay safe.” He smiles and walks away, sighing.
“I will.” she nods, smiling back. “You as well.” she calls out before heading towards the door and back home.
The next day, meets Meg at the entrance of the palace, smiling. “Hello dear.” He says softly.
“Hello.” Meg smiles back as she walks up. “How are things today?”
