He laughs softly, “Aww…she really is such a sweet woman…I’m glad you have her as a mother. You deserve good parents.”
He laughs softly, “Aww…she really is such a sweet woman…I’m glad you have her as a mother. You deserve good parents.”
“They were good… Still are.” Meg sighs, thinking about her parents when she was younger. “My mother… She cares about a lot of people but she worries about me because of how I pulled away from everyone.” she admits.
Aaron nods, “I understand where she would be coming from…” He murmurs.
Meg gives a soft hum of agreement. “So do I. But I think she worries a little less because of you.” she smiles.
He laughs softly, “Oh? I’m surprised-“
“You're the first real friend I've had in five years.” she points out. “I think she smiles more every time I tell her that I'm going to spend time with you.”
He smiles brightly. “Oh…I’m glad…”
Meg chuckles, blushing. “I think she may have even suspected how I feel about you before I realized it myself.”
Aaron laughs, “Oh, Brisha was the same-“
Meg laughs with him, her blush growing. “I don't know if I would dread them meeting or look forward to it.”
Aaron snickers, “I know right?”
She giggles again and nods at the image of the two meeting.
Aaron grins, “You think our parents would like us being together?”
“Well, I know my mother would be happy.” she nods. “But I don't know what your parents would think… Though I believe your friend Brisha wouldn't mind.”
He smiles. “They should definitely meet.”
“Alright.” she nods, still blushing at the idea. “I hope that we can stand the stories they'll tell about us.”
Aaron grins, “Probably not-“
“Yeah… That sounds about right.” she agrees, burying her face against his shoulder.
He hums, kissing the top of her head. “But either way…they’ll love talking about us…”
“Oh, definitely.” she smiles. “It would be nice for my mother to have a friend too.”
Aaron smiles and nods. “Yeah- brisha’s been pretty…well- depressed for a while now.”
Meg furrows her brow in confusion as she looks up at Aaron. “Why? What is he depressed about?”
Aaron sighs, “His wife died from the plague a few years ago…”
“Oh! I’m so sorry.” she apologizes sincerely.
He smiles softly. “It’s okay…I always try to be there for him, just like hes there for me.”
