He laughs, smiling brightly. “Yes well even royalty have their childish sides.” He stands, smirking softly.
He laughs, smiling brightly. “Yes well even royalty have their childish sides.” He stands, smirking softly.
“Childish royalty? At our age?” Meg says pretending to be surprised before lightly pressing her finger against his nose, smudging a bit of red paint on him. “Unbelievable.”
He gasps and laughs, flicking some blue paint onto her cheek. “Two can play at that game, madam!”
Meg squeals at the cold wet feeling before rubbing her hand over her cheek in a futile attempt to wipe it off. “Oh, you…” she chuckles. “I’m gonna get you.”
He laughs and rushes to the door. “Not if you can’t catch me!”
Meg smirks and quickly chases after him. “Get back here, Aaron!” she calls out playfully.
Aaron squeals, running down a few hallways and disappearing out of view.
Meg knew that Aaron had an advantage as she chased him, but he didn't know that she knew how to hunt. So when he disappeared, she slowed down and walked quietly as she listened for any hints as to where he went.
After a few moments, Aaron jumps out of the shadows and pins her to the wall. “Boo!!”
Meg yelps at the shout before realizing what Aaron had done. “I should have seen that trap coming.” she groans.
He laughs, moving away. “I am a sly man.” He smirks.
“Apparently.” Meg nods, laughing softly in spite of herself.
He laughs softly, nodding for her to follow him. “Come on…i wanna show you the garden.”
“Alright.” she smiles, relaxing at the calmer change of pace. “Do you spend a lot of time there?”
He hums, “When I’m not dying from allergies, yes.” He chuckles. He opens two big doors leading to a giant garden filled with all sorts of plants.
“Right.” she nods. Her eyes widen at the sight of the garden. “Wow! This place is bigger than the park.”
He chuckles, “We grow our own food too…and flowers…” he picks a rose, picking off the thorns and handing it to her.
“That's… impressive.” she says, trailing off as he hands her the flower. “Th-Thank you.”
He smiles warmly and nods. “It is…and…you’re welcome.” He sits down on a bench and pats the seat next to him.
Meg smiles softly back and sits next to him.
He hums and closes his eyes, enjoying the sun shining onto his skin. The rays showed just how pale he was.
Meg sighs and looks at the flower, actually impressed that he took the time to pick the thorns off.
He sighs softly with content, then looks at her and tilts his head. “What’s that look for?”
“Oh, nothing.” she assures. “Just thinking about things.”
He hums, “Ah yeah…I do that a lot too.” He chuckles softly, smiling at her.
