Alexander sighed. “How are we going to find something that can prove what we say is true?” he said, partially to himself. “Locke, do you know what your ability is? Maybe you or I could do something…” If only the note had told them that. Some of their “powers” were clear enough but Alexander had no idea what he could possibly do.
(Wait, can they do the stuff in the real world?)
(yeah, but it’s more limited)
Locke flinched and swatted her off. "You take tea?" He asked confused as he rubbed his head. "And stop calling me Blue!" He yelled. This was the first time he had raised his voice. "And no. I do not have abilities like you all do."
(You can call him blue all you want lol)
Anna looked at Locke, blinking. "Okay, everyone, calm down." She said, trying to stay calm herself. "Locke, it's just a silly nickname, it's not that serious. Maddie… honestly, he deserved that, I've got nothing for him. That was uncalled for."
“This isn’t helping us look sane!” Alexander added with an eye roll. “If you don’t have something productive to add, please shut up!”
”Never!” Maddie cackled, smiling madly at the fact that she got an emotional reaction out of Locke.
”The tea helps my headaches.” Was the only explanation she gave before turning to Alex and pointed at him then Kai. ”You’re really fast and you can disappear.”
“Okay, well, maybe I can demonstrate that,” Alexander suggested with a shrug. “Thanks, Maddie.”
"Jesus freaking chri-" Kai was cut off by his body teleporting up into the tree. "Aw fuck." He muttered, it seemed his emotions triggers his jumps. Also, he couldn't get down.
“Are you okay?” Alexander called up to him, taken by surprise. It wasn’t every day he saw kids teleport into trees.
Anna looked up at him. "Now you believe us?" She asked, smiling a bit.
"I freaking hate this, could you hand me my crutches?" He asked, pointing to the two crutches laying on the bench. Why did you choose to teleport into a fucking tree on the day I can't get down becuase of my legs?!
Maddie bent over laughing, ”Silly Kitty got himself stuck in a tree!” The whole situation was so very funny to her. She was actually crying a bit she was laughing so hard.
"Listen, crazy lady, if I were down there I would knock you out with my crutches!" He yelled.
Locke let out a long sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose but he didn't say anything.
(What if when they get to Wonderland Locke knows immediately what something is but then doesn't know anything else about it? Or would that be too OP?)
Anna grabbed the crutches, handing them up to him. "Here."
He grabbed them, starting to get down. "Thank you." He said, thankful that at least his legs weren't hurting as bad as they had been earlier.
Alexander stood near the tree, ready to catch the boy if necessary. He watched the kid’s descent, looking worried.
”What’s wrong with your legs, Cheshire?” Maddie had her head tilted slightly to one side as she watched him.
"Car accident." He said, hoping to the ground with a wince as he used his crutches to steady himself.
"So you got a note about Wonderland, correct?" Locke said. "And you have abilities that normal people do not have and have dreams that leak into reality, yet you are calling us the odd ones when we talk to you about this."
"I didn't want to get assaulted in the park. If I'm dying I'm doing it in style." Kai shrugged, walking back over to the bench and sitting down.
"That is a valid concern." Anna said, sitting next to him. "You okay?"
