Iris stood behind the bar in the Wishing Well drying and putting away glasses. She was bored out of her mind. Today had been a very uneventful day, especially for being on of two bars in town. She called out to her coworker who was bussing tables
"Hey Erik! I'm going to take my break. Be back in ten"
Erik looked up and nodded "Alright sweetheart, I'll watch the bar for you."
Goodness she hated him. He was worse than the patrons. He was always flirting with her and she couldn't stand it. She stepped out back and leaned against a wall. She took a few deep breaths and looked up at the sky. It was night, the sky greyed with factory smoke. She looked around the darkened alley, She hated working the closing shift. Erik was always there, and she had to stand in this creepy alley for her break, just to get away from him. She listened to the sounds of machines pumping and people talking. It was rather quite for this time and place. She checked her watch and sighed. "Breaks over" she walked back inside and went back to the bar.
"Perfect timing sweetheart" Erik said, covering the receiver of the bar's phone. "You have a call"
'just great' she thought, walking over to him and roughly taking the phone "Hello. Wishing Well, Vonner speaking" she said in her most friendly and professional voice. The place got calls all the time for whatever reason
"You don't have to be so formal Iris!" A familiar male voice said from the other end of the phone
She smiled. It was her boyfriend Finn. "Yes love. How can I help you?"
He laughed and replied "I was just wondering what time you'd be home"
She reciprocated the energy. "I get of in like an hour and a half. I should be home before one. Don't wait up for me 'kay?" she said slightly sighing.
"Okay, I won't" he said "I love you." He finalized, "Love you too" was all she said before hanging up the phone.
(sorry its so much dialogue. I just wanted to give a perspective of her life before she gets wrapped up in what
Charlie and McKay have going on)
