"I heard that." Halo calls over his shoulder before walking into class.
"I heard that." Halo calls over his shoulder before walking into class.
"Not You" jessica yelled back
Halo shrugs and sits down, getting out his sketchbook and humming in thought before starting a new sketch since he was finished with his last one.
Marlowe turned to her for a moment. “Well I do have a slight headache and an Advil would be nice,” she said, hoping to avoid her mom.
(oof, sorry I'm back)
"Alright to the nurse's office it is then," Lila said, walking toward the door to the nurse's office.
(eh )
"Holy jessus I hate those kids " she said and looked at Kelton.
¨Everyone does.¨ Kelton muttered.
Ash got her phone out during break Cant come to lunch today. she texted her friends, quickly putting her phone away before her friends could reply to her.
Halo sighs boredly and shakes his head, looking around in dismay.
Jessica gathered her supplies and left the class to go to her next one.
Can I go back to England? No… No I can't so I'm stuck here. Halo returns to his drawing.
Marlowe followed her. “Okay,” she replied, looking around just in case her mom was hiding behind a corner or something equally unlikely.
"What are you looking for?" Lila asked, noting Marlowe looking around.
“Nothing,” Marlowe said quickly, realizing that Lila had noticed her sudden anxiety. “Let’s just make this trip quick.” She hoped desperately that they wouldn’t encounter her mom.
"Ookayyyy," Lila said. They went into the nurse's office. "Excuse me. Marlowe needs some Advil please," she said to the nurse.
“I have a headache,” she added with a frown.
(Can we just control the nurse ourselves?)
Idk lol I think it’d prolly be ok?//
Or we could have the nurse not be there and Marlowe’s mom is subbing for her?//
(oooooohhh drama I love it)
(idk its up to you since ur the mom)
thats a good idea//
Then she realized that her mom was filling in for the nurse today. Oh no. “Hi mom,” Marlowe muttered. Ms.Kingsbury smiled at her daughter. “Do you really have a headache, Marlowe? Or are you trying to get out of class? You’re failing, you know,” her mom replied. Marlowe blushed. “I have a headache for real,” She ground out, staring at her mom with a strange look on her face.
"It's true she does." Lila didn't know why she said it, only that it looked like Marlowe was drowning and her mom was an asshole. Apparently even to her own child.
Ms.Kingsbury found an Advil and gave it to her daughter. “Thanks mom,” Marlowe said, and turned to leave.
Lila hesitated for a brief moment and followed Marlowe out of the office. She closed the door and looked at Marlowe.
Marlowe looked back at Lila, her gaze steely. “Can we pretend that didn’t happen?” She asked. She wondered if Lila could see the pain behind her eyes.
