(The British thing oh my lord)
Lucy hummed in response, smiling warmly. She looked down at her hands when he left to go to the kitchen, slipping one into her pocket and squeezing the rock in her pocket. She did her best to throw a small illusion over her own face to hide the slight tint that she felt rising in her cheeks.
Mrs. Quill and her husband looked at the few children, knowing immediately that they were the ‘gifted ones’. But, they both forced smiles and nodded. “Wonderful. Should we work on the paperwork?” Mrs. Quill asked.
Lata almost died laughing, assuming Orion was referring to Samandriel.
(ANGRY BRITISH NOODLE DAD!)
(I snorted when I read the shepherd dog thing bc I felt like you were referring to Sam and his true form is a lion which makes it 10x better lmao)
(Lmaooo, Sam is a grumpy shepherd dog)
"Well of course. I don't much care if they are trouble, couple months'll teach them manners. Our dog and cat are gonna love you all. The shepherds a bit gruff, but he's a real softy in the end."
(I told my friend who thought Sam was Canadian the angry british noodle dad thing and s HE FRIGGIN LOST IT IM DY I NG)
(The dog is officially Sam)
The pair smiled and nodded. “Our secretary will get the forms,” the husband said, walking away quickly to go tell the younger woman.
(when did Sam become this lmao)
(Don't know, don't care. I'm just laughing so much rn)
(Why do I wanna make the kids look like Lata as an illusion and them all run in and scare Sam XDDD)
(HE WOULD PROBABLY SCREECH AND HIDE IN ONE OF THE ROOMS)
(That would be hilarious)
(HAHAHAHA I'M GONNA WRITE THIS AS AN ALTERNATE SCENE. I gtg though guys.)
Sam squinted at Lucy. "Stop with the illusions. They're annoying," he said, gesturing at Lucy's face
Lucy muttered a quick curse to herself, tilting her head down to avoid being seen as much. She tried to ignore the pain in her neck when she did so, reminding herself that she’s felt worse. “You’re annoying..” she mumbled back, though it was obvious she didn’t mean it.
Sam pouted a little. "Aww, but I made you food."
Lucy picked up a pillow that was on the couch and threw it at him. “I was kidding,” she responded, taking up another pillow and hugging it against her chest.
