(Lmao)
"I hope you're thinking what I'm thinking," Lata whispered, wiggling her brows for a quick second, hoping Lucy wouldn't catch on that she was implying the two women holding hands.
Lucy returned a smile to Sam as well before glancing away. Her thumb stroked the side of Erik’s hand gently as she looked back towards the window.
“I am most certainly thinking what you’re thinking,” Sam answered, grinning a bit as he spoke. It looked like everyone was dating now
The pair were grinning like crazy watching the two women together. Orion it seemed was barely able to contain his joy. Or should she have said pride? Pride was probably the better word.
"How long is this supposed to take again?" the small magic user asked. She both was eager to be home, but would be plenty happy watching the several couples and city outside.
(Tbh Lata would probably be questioning)
(also I think I lowkey made a new character lesbian???)
(Ooo)
Smiling happily, brimming with pride, Orion watches the two women. Blinking for a moment, his gaze switches, seeing the bonds that tie people together. Eyes bright with his glee, he sees the new bond, golden and fragile, settle between them. Turning his gaze to Lata and Sam, both leaning against him, he watches their bond twist and turn, braiding the strands as if guided by the hands of a weaver. They are family, bond blazing gold and linking between the four of them. Humming in contentment, he closes his eyes and rests his head on the back of the train, arms still around Lata and Sam.
Lata watches the cityscape nyoom by in a blink and simply relaxes in the comfort of her family. Things felt so nice this way. And to think about how everything started was kind of hard to believe.
What would have happened if she denied Orion's offer…?
Eventually the train began to slow to a stop, and Bastian got to his feet. "Stay here everyone, we're just at the checkpoint. There'll be some guards that'll come on to see you all, but it's no big deal," he said before turning on his heel and walking towards the front of the train
(I forgot what Orion offered. I is sorry Iris)

(He offered his hospitality. Before meeting him she was an orphan)
(I forgot what Orion offered. I is sorry Iris)
(welcome back btw)
(Yullo!)
Lata nodded at Bastian's comment. Looking up at Orion, she took one of his hands and gave it a small squeeze.
"I want to apologise…"
Lucy wondered if she should wake up Erik now. She tilted her head a bit to look at the other, and found that she couldn’t disturb her. She would just talk to the guards on her own if it was necessary.
Erik was sleeping peacefully on Lucy's shoulder. She looked incredibly relaxed compared to how stressed she had been lately. Kaz and Michael had just nodded before going back to what they were doing. Sam seemed vaguely suspicious, but he didn't stress too much
(bump)
(Waiting for Ca1's response before I can go rip)
Looking down at Lata, Orion cocks his head to the side in confusion. Soft, tenor voice soothing, he speaks softly. "Sorry for what, Lata? You have nothing to apologize for. I promise." Awaiting her response, he hugs her closer, giving her a slow smile.
Lata hummed lightly at the tighter embrace. "I just felt it was necessary… I guess what I'm trying to say is that I really was a pain in the beginning," she began, biting her lower lip. She eventually leaned in further into the hug. She remembered when her father embracing her just an hour before they were killed. The young mage allowed herself to be at peace.
"Peace be with you…" she whispered under her breath.
Purring softly, Orion rests his chin on Lata's head. "Don't think of it, Lata. We have all come so far since then. Be at peace with the knowledge that I love you all and would gladly face harm for you." Content with his speech, his tail swishes lazily, occasionally brushing across her nose.
(heck)
Lata scrunches up her nose at the light tickling from Orion's tail. She wanted to give her reply, but needed to gently push it away from her face first.
It felt a bit weird to be embraced in such a protective manner. But a good weird…
"Thanks for that…"
(bump)
Train slowing, Orion takes another look out of the window, taking note of the ornate city beyond the glass. Releasing Lata after one last hug, he stands and stretches with a trilling purr. Halting, the decrease in speed is smooth, clean. As the doors open, he turns to the others, the flash of a pointed smile seen under his hood. "Shall we?"
