Charlotte gave a small smile. "Er… am I allowed to leave now?"
Charlotte gave a small smile. "Er… am I allowed to leave now?"
Aster sighed. "If you want to, sure." He replied softly.
Charlotte exhaled softly. "Wonderful, thanks," she called as she left the room.
Aster shook his head slightly. "Uhm… you're welcome." He replied slowly.
Charlotte hopped up the stairs and towards her room, unlocking the door and closing it behind her. "Well. That was an adventure, wasn't it, Lightning?"
Lightning chittered softly, moving around on her shoulders.
(Timeskip?)
(sure. To when they leave, maybe?)
(That works. Wanna start?)
(alright. Sure)
Aster was in the carriage again, looking grumpy. Mainly because he wanted to ride, instead of be stuck in the carriage.
Quinn knocked on Charlotte's door, and waited patiently for her to open it.
Charlotte sighed, picked up her bag, and swung the door open. "We're leaving," the question came out as more of a statement. She looked to Quinn for confirmation.
Quinn nodded. "Yeah. Are you a mind reader?" he asked with a chuckle, then beckoned. "Come on." he started walking.
Lightning was curled on her shoulder.
Charlotte smiled wryly. "Just a small amount of common sense," she corrected, following.
Quinn chuckled, and kept walking. "Alright." he replied.
Charlotte nodded, trailing behind boredly.
Quinn held the door of the carriage for her. "Here." he said.
"Er… thanks," Charlotte said slowly, sliding into her seat.
Quinn nodded. "We have maybe three stops today. Maybe one of them will lead home." he told her.
(hey, do we want them to actually find a portal, or not?)
(Idk what would happen if that happened but sounds fun)
Charlotte smiled and looked down. "That would be nice," she laughed quietly.
(alright. Ooh what if Quinn/Aster wanted to go through the portal with her? Or maybe accidentally went through it somehow?)
"I know you probably miss your home. I'm sorry. We're doing our best to find you a way back." Quinn said, doing his best to give her a reassuring smile.
Charlotte shook her head and looked up with a slightly sad smile. "I know you are, I, er - sorry I've been a brat about it."
(I gtg to bed now. Good night!)
Quinn nodded, then shrugged. "Hey, I would be a brat too, in your shoes." he replied with a soft chuckle. "Don't worry about it."
Charlotte nodded uncomfortably. "We should probably… probably get going, then?"
Quinn nodded. "Yeah." He closed the door of the carriage, and he and the guards mounted the horses. The carriage began to move.
Aster looked over at her quietly.
Charlotte exhaled quietly and pulled a book out of her bag, staring at the cover.
