Lightning, as an animal, couldn't understand her. So she simply let out another small chitter, holding onto Charlotte.
Charlotte looked around. There weren't nearly as much trees as the last place. At least she couldn't get lost.
Lightning kept nibbling at the fruit contentedly as Charlotte walked.
(Hm wanna timeskip)
(sure)
(Idk when to lol)
(same lol. Maybe to when Charlotte comes back? Or one of the boys can come get her?)
(Eh that works)
Charlotte had been wondering for… however long, she didn't know, and decided to head back. She made it back to the hotel and opened the door, which made a soft ding.
Aster looked up as the door opened, his eyes flickering slightly. "Oh. Good morning." He greeted softly. He was sitting down.
Charlotte smiled thinly and nodded in response. "Yes, it's lovely."
Aster sighed softly, his arms wrapped around his middle. "Are you alright, Lottie? You're…really grumpy. A lot."
"Oh, yes, I'd forgotten. My natural personality is too unhappy for you. Let me just go switch it off," Charlotte smiled brightly and sat down next to Aster.
Aster frowned a little. "No, thatsthat's not what I meant. I meant is everything okay or are you just grumpy from lack of sleep?"
"First of all, I am not grumpy. Don't be ridiculous. And second of all, I've had plenty of sleep. Perhaps you've forgotten how truly awful my personality is," Charlotte smiled and tipped her head.
Aster looked at her for a long moment. "Fine. If you say so." he replied slowly.
Charlotte smiled brightly. "Wonderful. Well, I'll be heading back to my room now. Cheerio, or… whatever the rich people say." She stood up and started to leave.
Aster sighed softly. "Every time I talk to you, it's five minutes of conversation and then you run away. Is it…is it something i did, or…?" He asked, looking up at her.
"Of course not; my conversational skills are horrid," Charlotte replied blankly.
Aster sighed. "They aren't that bad. Your conversational skills, I mean." He replied.
Charlotte raised an eyebrow. "Sure they aren't."
Aster looked at her. "Really. Quinn's can be worse. Especially when he's tired, drunk, or hungover, or any combination of the three."
"Just because I'm not the worst conversationalist, doesn't mean I'm not horrible," Charlotte argued lightly.
(gtg to hed. Good night!)
Aster shrugged slightly. "That's a good point. But you really aren't that bad."
(Goodnight!)
Charlotte sighed. "Well, I appreciate the compliment." Not that it's true.
"Mm. You're welcome." He replied, looking at her with a small smile.
