Lucas gave a melodramatic gasp.
"How could you?" He said. "I agree though, but I like Wendy's the best."

Liam got up from the couch and tucked the gun back into his hoodie pocket. He walked over to the window are climbed out and up up to the roof and sat down, his legs hanging off the edge.

Ronni smiled at him, shaking her head. How he managed to be silly right now was beyond her.
"How do you stay so optimistic?" she asked quietly.

Lucky moved through the aisles, trying to keep his head on a swivel for what they were looking for, as well as keep an eye out for people. A place like this was sure to have attracted a lot of traffic, if other people were thinking along the same lines their little group had been thinking.

Ariella was turning her head, looking through the isles. Her steps had slowed and she had fallen behind Lucky by a step or two. She caught view of the tents just a few isles away. She pulled away from Lucky completely. She hadn't meant to. It was like a pull. One minute she was by his side and the next she walking down the isle of tents. It was a bit of a mess and there were only a handful left. She had to step over boxes and packaging thrown on the floor.
She would blame it on the fact that she was distracted shuffling through the tents that she didn't see the person sneaking up behind her. There was a knife pressed to her throat and a hand grabbed her mouth as soon as the scream started to slip out.

Lucas smiled at her purely.
"I joke so it releases the stress of a situation, not just for myself, but hopefully for others too." He said honestly, sitting up a bit more. "I like to make people laugh, it makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong."

Liam looked over the city surrounding him. Amazed at how fast things deteriorated after people stopped taking care of it. He hummed as he swung his legs, occasionally hitting his heels against the wall. After a bit, he stopped swinging and looked down over the edge. Unconfident in his survival chance if he were to fall, but curious nonetheless.
