"yeah..some people suckβ¦" Devon sighed. "But you are ok withβ¦uhβ¦horse guy I mean Luckyβ¦'s horseβ¦Somethin-or-another?" He felt slightly embarrassed for not being able to remember names, and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "I mean..the horse is nice, he likes meβ¦if only people were that easy to get close to." He shook his head absently. "but..I do think we will leave soon, we haven't even been here that long, but I get what you mean."
Ariella gave him a small smile. "I get along alright with Lucky, or I did. I'm not sure where I stand anymore." She looked down at her feet. Had she truly ruined her friendship with him? "I've tried to steer clear of his horse. I have no doubt he behaves but I would rather be safe than sorry. It wouldn't be very helpful for the only nurse to get too injured to help anyone."
Liam's eyes widened and he bumped June. "They're doing it." he said with no effort to hide his surprise.

"I think, he just got a little upset, but he is still your friendβ¦unless he is a two faced person..but I doubt that." he shrugged, "I could help you with the nursing stuff. I meanβ¦I don't react to stressful situations" Devon shrugged.

June rolled her eyes at Liam, "Only because Lucky got pissed and went off on them"
"True, but still." Liam watched the two then looked over to June. "What were you doing before-" he motioned with his hands. "-all this?"
"Highschool dropout that worked in a bookstore" June shrugged, "Well I was homeschooled until my caretaker died then I came here, found Dev, and yeah"
"If I need help, you'll be the first I go to." Ariella looked back at him. There wouldn't be much he could do without the proper training but she would always accept a helping hand if it was offered. "When do you think they'll be back?"
"thanks," He nodded. "I think they should be back in like 30 minutes..maxβ¦they didn't go far," Devon thought for a moment, "are you and Lucky a thing?β¦ and are the other two a thingβ¦I am really bad at reading people-"
"Highschool dropout that worked in a bookstore" June shrugged, "Well I was homeschooled until my caretaker died then I came here, found Dev, and yeah"
"Nice." He told her. "I was only able to get to freshmen year before I got tired of it all." Liam looked around for a bit, then back to June. "Wait, caretaker?" he asked
Ariella flushed at his question, the blush traveling all the way to her ear. "N-no," her voice came out as a squeak and she cleared her throat. "No uh, we are not. We only just met. I don't think he thinks of me like that."
Dear god, did they all think that about them? She hid her face in her hands, dying of embarrassment. They were not a couple. They wouldn't be a couple, right? Right? His yelling at her made things perfectly clear how he felt about her. There was no way he liked her. He was just a kind person. And the first kind person she had met in awhile.

June nodded, "I grew up with my grandmother because the woman who birthed me is a-" She glanced at Devon and lowered her voice, "peice of shiz." she shrugged, "My grandmother was french, but she died 3 years ago, so I went to find that woman, and then I found Devβ¦and I helped him out..so..yeah." she hummed. "I tried public school, but it was boring compared to my grandmothers lessons, she taught me to fight"

Devon shook his head gently, "I don't mean to overstep β¦I was just curious on which guys are straight." he shrugged. That was his honest reason.
"You can always ask. I'm sure no one would mind if you asked the other about their sexual orientation. And if they do mind, they can find another group to join." Ariella said. She wouldn't stand for discrimination of any kind.

Liam nodded. Not what he was expecting, but still. "Nice, I mean, not nice, or, um, yes?" He shut his mouth and looked down.

"And that would go, like 'are you gay? cuz I'm gay, and I don't want to pine after the wrong guy'..honestly I don't think that would work-" he shrugged. "I would just end up making it weird"
Liam nodded. Not what he was expecting, but still. "Nice, I mean, not nice, or, um, yes?" He shut his mouth and looked down.
June laughed softly. "yes, I love that response" She grinned, "I honestly have a pretty vibing backstory"

"You could say that." Liam said looking back up. "Compared to your's, my story is just a normal day."
"And that would go, like 'are you gay? cuz I'm gay, and I don't want to pine after the wrong guy'..honestly I don't think that would work-" he shrugged. "I would just end up making it weird"
Ariella chuckled. "You're sister pretty much announced you were gay earlier so if anyone here has an attraction men I'm sure they'll approach you."
"You could say that." Liam said looking back up. "Compared to your's, my story is just a normal day."
"are you fruity?" June asked, squinting at him in a failed attempt to be intimidating.
Ariella chuckled. "You're sister pretty much announced you were gay earlier so if anyone here has an attraction men I'm sure they'll approach you."
"oh..rightβ¦what did she call me againβ¦a 'fricken gay hermit' or something.." Devon sighed and leaned his head back against the wall. "the sooner one approaches me the better, I can only function with no sleep for so long" he muttered.
"are you fruity?" June asked, squinting at him in a failed attempt to be intimidating.
Liam raised an eyebrow in response. "Are you asking just to show your brother up?" he said looking at Devon.
Liam raised an eyebrow in response. "Are you asking just to show your brother up?" he said looking at Devon.
"meh, I am more fruity than him anyhow." June shrugged. "besides, you are to young for him child"
