June shrugged, I have only known him for a few years she mouthed back, walking over to Liam, to watch the failed socialization.
It was almost sad Liam thought to himself as he looked over the two sitting on the couch. "Should we help them?" Liam not-whispered to June.
"I would rather let them try, Dev needs to get over his fear" June stage-whispered back.
Eva gives him a smile "thank you. I hope you're right. I've been needing to go down there to get more supplies. We're almost out" she says calmly.
Both of the kids soon come tumbling down the hallway, their shoes leaving marks on the hardwood, making Eva want to die of a heart attack.
"We're ready!" Liana says happily, holding a backpack of all of her necessities. Cassie holds one of Liana's old purses from before when she had a use for them. It was black and grey with sparkly sequins on them. Though over half of them had already fallen off.
He looks up to Eva and Alastor "ready" he says quietly, a wide smile on his face.
(idk what Alastor and them would do in the house. Should they go after Alastor has had the chance to rest? 0.p)
(sorry my brains like so dead rn)
(It's totally fine! I know the feeling lol)
Alastor clicked his tongue once and Zeus immediately got up and went over to him, sitting down beside him obediently.
"I'm ready too," he said, smiling back at Cassie and Liana.
"I'm fine with going now if you are," he told Eva. "I'm sure the others would love to meet all of you."
Eva furrows her blonde eyebrows in concern "oh-" she says, pursing her lips together in thought "i would need to get ready as well. But i can do that rather quick. I don't plan on being gone too long" she explains.
Liana rolls her eyes "you can't go in that! You'll get even more hoes" she says, nudging her arm with her elbow. Eva rolls her eyes at her teenage daughter "oh whatever"
Turning her attention to Alastor, Eva keeps her arms wrapped around her "if you dont think you need to rest, i can get ready real quick and we can go" she says with a shrug.
(sorry its in an awkward stage rn. We can time skip to when theyre all actually ready to go if youd like. Though for a time skip, id like to see if @EtherealDreamer is alright with it, seeing as it is their rp haha)
(No problem and yeah, I'm cool with a time skip)
"I don't need to rest," Alastor assured Eva. "I was just worried about Zeus, since his fur is so thick."
(im gonna wait till they see this and reply just in case ^^)
Devon warily looked at Ariella. "Umβ¦nice to meet youβ¦?β¦What am I supposed to do now?" He looked over at the room where June was pretending to beat her head against the door in.
Ariella turned her head to Lucky. Why are you making me do this? Devon didn't even know how to have a conversation or talk to other people, why did she have to? Putting two antisocial people together didn't seem to go well.
Lucky rolled his eyes so hard, he nearly hurt himself. "Merde, you're both adults, hold a conversation!" It was beginning to drive him a little nuts.
Lucky had never been a social butterfly, but he had basic manners and could carry a conversation. He glanced over at Lucas and Ronni, before holding out a hand in their direction.
"Ronni doesn't even speak and she's able to hold a conversation. Maybe ask each other questions? Get to know the people you're going to travel with, or don't travel with them." The reality of the situation was clear to him, why couldn't anybody else see the importance of thisβ¦
"If we get jumped as a group, you need to know enough about your people to know how to work together." He was thinking how nice it would have been to have people with him either time he was jumped. "You need to know who's going to lock up, and who's going to go into fight or flight. Who's going to stay calm and who's going to start shooting and stabbing anything that moves. Who knows how to take care of themselves and who needs protected." He was irritated, his emotions were on edge, and this was enough to tip him. He stood and stepped away from the couch as his gestures got bigger. "How are you gonna know how to help each other? Food allergies, medication needs, triggers, all the things that people need to know about each other. Are any of us diabetic, asthmatic, or suffering withdrawals from things? Does anybody know first aid, or even deeper medical knowledge? Do we have people with military or other kinds of helpful experience? Do people have sleep issues, is there some way we can help, don't you guys care about ANY of that??" He managed to keep from yelling, but by this point, he was fuming. "You know what, never mind. I don't know why I even bothered. Screw me for trying to make sure we can help each other out. Screw me for trying to hold onto any shred of decency or humanity in the middle of this. My bad." He turned and walked back to the door. "Ronni, I found a car that is still in decent condition of you're interesting in hotwiring it." He made eye contact with her, before leaving to go cool down.
Lucas shook his head, smiling. "no, but nice try." He said "it's Baseball, I got a scholarship to play and was at college for it." He paused. "Your turn to answer." He told her.
Ronni nodded and started writing answers.
Baseball is cool. I don't really have a favorite sport. Favorite song is anything by Imagine Dragons, favorite movie is anything by Quentin Tarantino, and-
She stopped writing as Lucky went off. He was making valid points, and he was saying things she'd been thinking. Their group was so disjointed. She may not trust all of them on a deep level, but Ronni at least was making an effort to get to know them, slowly but surely.
The Frenchman left, mentioning a car to her, and she quickly turned to Lucas, writing.
Wanna come with me? I'm gonna go hotwire that car.
She didn't wait for a response, just followed Lucky out.
(we can time skip if everyone is okay with it, maybe we should vote or something?)
(why do you feel we need to?)
(I mean, some people want to, im fine with whatever, but I think we should wait a bit because I wanna see how ppl to Lucky going off.)
( oh, oh, got it. Talking more about Celeste and phantom thumbs up The only problem is stuff is moving back at the apartment, but like Ethereal said, if this all resolves, I don't see why not)

"How about I just answer those questions and call it done?" He muttered, waiting for Lucky to finish his fuming. He wasn't affected by the aggression Lucky showed, or at least, he didn't make it known if he was. Devon sighed. "June would start stabbing, I would stay the same. June can take care of herself, I am a pacifist. Everyone has triggersβ¦I'd rather not mention mine." He thought for a minute, purposely avoiding the sleeping question. "Or I could just introduce myself." He shrugged, "Like, 'Hi I am Donevan, I go by Devon or Dev. I am 20 years old, I was studying to be a writer in college before this. I have gynophobia..and monophobia. Hopefully no one knows what that is. I like cats, animals are drawn to me even though I like to pretend that I don't like them just to spite the fact that they like me.' There, is that enough of a get to know me session? Because I figure we are all stuck together so might as well just let you all know." He shook his head.

Lucas smiled to himself and turned back to Ronni.
"Favorite show, before all this?" He asked her. "Also congrats on being able to hold a conversation I guess."
Ronni nodded and started writing answers.

She didn't wait for a response, just followed Lucky out.
Lucas hopped up and trailed after her, kind of like a lost puppy.
He didn't really want to be with Devon or Ariella, they didn't like people, but he liked Lucky and Ronni, so he decided it was a good choice to be the moral support while they worked on hotwiring the car.

Lucky glanced bakc at Ronni and Lucas following him. He snagged Sinjoro's reins on the way past and kept walking.
"It's a couple blocks over. I'll show you."
Ronni nodded and looked up at Lucas, as if asking Is that ok?
"How about I just answer those questions and call it done?" He muttered, waiting for Lucky to finish his fuming. Ariella flinched at Lucky's words. She tucked her knees to her chest and turned her head so he wouldn't see the tears forming in her eyes and falling down her cheeks. She was trying. She just wasn't good at this. Not anymore.
She dug her face into her knees once Lucky walked away, trying to hide her silent crying. She only lifted her head once Devon started talking. She wiped at her eyes and cheeks. She tried to smile but it looked sad really.
"Hi Devon," She winced as her voice cracked, "I'm Ariella. I'm 23. I was in nursing school and was going to graduate and be a registered nurse by December. I uh, I do know what those phobias are." She made a point to scoot away from him a bit to give him space. "I rode a horse once and got bucked off so I've been afraid ever since."
Ronni nodded and looked up at Lucas, as if asking Is that ok?
Lucas nodded, his mouth pressed into a thin line.
He kept following, he decided not to try in engage in conversation with Lucky until all the angeer was mostly gone, so he could let off some steam.

Devon watched the three leave then looked at Ariella, lowering his voice so only she could hear, "monophobia, fear of being aloneβ¦gynophobiaβ¦fear of females" He said softly and looked at the wall. "It's cool that you were going to be a nurse. If people didn't freak me out so much, I might have went a similar routeβ¦.you are afraid of horses, or riding one?" he was generally curious as to which it was, because she seemed close to the horse dude..Lucky, he mentally corrected himself.
"You don't need to tell me why," Ariella leaned back against the couch, staring at the wall. "People suck. Just know you didn't deserve whatever happened to you."
She turned her head to look at him. Her eyes were red and puffy and her cheeks were flushed. "Riding horses, though I don't necessarily want to get close to them either. I've seen how powerful their kick is, I'm not trying to get in their way." She shrugged her shoulders. "Do you think we'll be leaving soon? We can't stay here forever."
"yeah..some people suckβ¦" Devon sighed. "But you are ok withβ¦uhβ¦horse guy I mean Luckyβ¦'s horseβ¦Somethin-or-another?" He felt slightly embarrassed for not being able to remember names, and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "I mean..the horse is nice, he likes meβ¦if only people were that easy to get close to." He shook his head absently. "but..I do think we will leave soon, we haven't even been here that long, but I get what you mean."
Lucas nodded, his mouth pressed into a thin line.
He kept following, he decided not to try in engage in conversation with Lucky until all the angeer was mostly gone, so he could let off some steam.
Lucky walked a full block without saying a word. He finally took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, before pausing and waiting for the other two to catch up.
"Sorry about that. I just⦠I don't lose my temper much but, when I do, it's bad, and I'm sorry."
Ronni nodded slowly, but definitely stayed closer to Lucas than to Lucky.
He had a point, but temper isn't goodβ¦
Tanya piped up. Everybody has their breaking point.
