"Ill wait here…with the horse" Devon said, his eyes never moving from the animal. June rolled her eyes, but followed the two with a skip in her step. Yes the world had went to shit, but she has always been a 'the glass is full; air takes up space to' person.

Ronni followed him, thinking, before glancing over her shoulder at Liam. Something about him tugged at her, and she'd only known him a few minutes, but…
You're wanting to help him, that's good! Tanya said, a smile in her voice.
Ronni shrugged to herself and turned back towards Alastor, trying to keep to the shadows.

Liam watched as the other two began to walk away, and gave one final look around, just to make sure, and followed behind Alistor. "Are we just going to walk, or are we looking for something, or…?"

Ronni tapped Alastor's shoulder and signaled the direction they were already walking, before moving her hands like she was steering a car.
There's a pickup truck up there that might still work. I saw it earlier today.

Lucas watched Lucky bust open the door and silently followed him inside.
He tried to avoid breaking into buildings, even though he would need the supplies inside at one point, it still made him feel guilty, like he was stealing for no valid reason.

"We'll go find the vehicle Ronni found, see if we can find some supplies along the way, and then get the hell out of here," Alastor decided, glancing at the other two to see if they'd agree.

"Sounds good." Liam said his eyes following a line in a brick wall.

Ronni nodded and flashed a thumbs up, She felt safer already with these 3 than she had on her own. They say dogs and babies are good judges of character, and Zeus seems to trust these 2.
Tanya was disapproving. You're not a dog, you can trust them on your own.
Ronni frowned as they walked. *Some men have tried to treat me like a b

Lucas watched Lucky bust open the door and silently followed him inside.

Lucky proceeded cautiously down the long hallway. Most of the doors were closed, and he figured those ones would have dead occupants. He kept going till he came to an open door. He looked back at Lucas, who seemed like the more natural leader, and nodded at the door, before swinging it open and looking around.
The place was empty, no bodies, and looked like it had been left in a hurry. It hadn't been looted yet, and the furniture was still intact, as well as the door lock. Lucky walked in, careful to keep Ariella well behind him, in case anything jumped out.

@EtherealDreamer

Lucas led the way in and looked around warily, there was a dead body of a child in the far left corner, and a young woman next to it.

Lucas wrinkled his nose at the faint smell and walked over, using his arms to drag the womans body out into the hallway. He then did the same with the child, which was easier because it was considerably lighter.
"Well, here's our camp for tonight." he said, rubbing his eyes.

@EtherealDreamer

(Lucas: thou shall not break and enter and steal as it makes me feel guilty.
Also Lucas: tosses two dead bodies of a mother and her child into the hallway, only bothered by the smell.)

(First of all, Lucas cracks me up. And second, I think we're all on the same page, I was gonna try to nudge us all into one group soon too Thumbs up)

Lucky blinked, surprised. How did I not see those bodies? He had become so accustomed to seeing them everywhere, he hadn't even noticed them when he'd opened the door.
The rest of the 2 bedroom apartment was emoty though, and didn't smell of death, so he guessed that the lady and child weren't the original tenants. They must have decided to camp here, like we are… and now they're dead.
Not a comforting thought, but Lucky wasn't comforted much lately by anything.
The apartment had 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds, a full bathroom where the water still worked, remarkbaly, and a big couch in the living room. The Kitchen had some canned food in it still, and even though none of the lights worked, there were enough windows to keep the apartment from being dark during the day.

Lucas looked around, his hands on his hips and slowly made his way to the couch, slinging his pack onto it.

"So, i'm going to take a four year nap, since the past two weeks I've barely slept." He informed Lucky and smiled faintly.
"I feel about a hundred years old right now."

Alastor let Zeus lead the way, keeping an eye on the massive ball of muscle and fluff as he sniffed the sides of buildings, searching the area for food and people.

Ariella trailed into the apartment after Lucky, looking around. She relaxed just silently as it had been emptied of the two dead bodies and there was no one else alive of than their group. She walked into the nearest bathroom, leaving Lucky's side for the first time since the new additions to their group. She turned on the sink and let out a small squeak when water came out. She cared not if it was cold water. She just wanted to wash away the dirt and blood and grime of the past few weeks. She popped her head back out, her eyes finding Lucky's immediately.
"I uh..I would like to…if it's safe." She did a poor job of communicating her wish to take a shower to him, but her nerves were still high with the other strangers.

Lucky nodded at Lucas. "Get some sleep, man. I know what you mean." He knew exactly the feeling Lucas was talking about. He felt like he had aged so much in the last few weeks, like if he looked in a mirror, his hair would be grey and his face full of wrinkles.
Lucas had chosen the couch, which left Lucky unsure how to proceed. He wasn't sure if the brother and sister would wanna room together, or maybe he and Devon should room together and let the girls have their own room, or maybe everybody would sleep in various places. It depended.
Ariella had let go of his hand for the first time in a minute, and seemed to be wanting to shower. He nodded at her, understanding what she meant despite the stammering. "Go ahead. Just make sure you lock the door."
He headed back out to let Devon know they'd found a spot. "Hey, we got a place. Come check it out."
He unwrapped Sinjoro's reins from the fence and lead his horse up the steps into the building. He made sure his horse was fed and tethered to a doorknob just down the hall, before heading back to the apartment to make sure everyone was settling in alright,

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Ariella closed the door and locked it. She wished she could have moved something in front of the door as an added measure but there was nothing. She turned on the shower and was quick about undressing and getting under the stream. It took a few minutes before the water began to run clear, and that was before adding any soap. She bathed as quickly as she could while still scrubbing every inch of her, in case anyone wanted to shower afterward. She pulled some fresh clothes out of her bag and slipped them on, then washed her dirty clothes and hung them up to dry. She managed to find a comb under the sink and washed it for a minute or two to make sure it was clean. She stepped out of the bathroom with her bag and combed through her hair. Having kept it in braids saved her from getting terrible knots but there were still a couple of tangles.
She quickly found Lucky and moved to his side. He was the safest person at of all of them to her so far.

@EtherealDreamer

Lucas smiled and nodded.
"If there's a sleeping problem, I can share the couch, it's big and wide enough, whoever I sleep with will just have to be at the other end." He told Lucky, his voice was scratchy.

"Or if someone else wants the couch to themselves I can room with someone else." he said, blinking rapidly. "I think I might just wait to sleep, so I can wake up at a not unreasonable hour."
