"I was at the hospital. But the doctors sent me here as soon as they could clear me. Something about the faster I got away from the hospital and my own thoughts the less time I would have to develop any post-traumatic stress and anxiety. My arm will be fine, it looks a lot worse than it is."

(lol yeah. But it wasn't really her choice.)
Ainhoa noticed Becca and then Fae leave the room. She kept quiet and looked back to Sam and Ace's scene.
Lau leaned over towards Ainhoa, whispering, "do you think Becca's okay?"
Jamie, who was listening in, snorted. "Darling, no one here is okay."
Fae nodded, not believing the last part but leaving it alone. "Can you play an instrument?"
"Piano and guitar." Becca said as she started cleaning up her mess, her arm bandaged again.
"True," Lau laughed. "I didn't catch your name, I don't think?"
"That's because I didn't drop it." Jamie smiled. "Jamie Luella. Dancer, designer, and grade-A pessimist."
"Lau Loo," Lau introduced, "your friendly neighborhood singing Asian."
"So why'd you come to this freakshow of talent?" Jamie asked. "My parents signed me up for this in an attempt to make me hate them less."
"Do you want to play background music instead of acting then? Maybe do props and costumes?"
"…………..I think that would be best." Becca said, sighing.
"Of course," Jamie continued, "it didn't. It only stunted my plans to fake my own death and run away with three of my friends."
"Sorry about that.", she said gently. "Do you need more time or are you ready to come out?"
"Speaking of which……. I should probably call Luke, Ryan, and Don."
"I'm ready to come out. I'll be fine." She said, trying to reassure herself as well as Fae. She picked up her bag. "But then where would I go now?" She asked.
"Well, I guess you could ask around and ask who else wants to do props and costumes and start a plan?"
"You're a train wreck," Lau teased. "I joined for the thrill of it. I love theatre and mental breakdowns."
Jamie raised his eyebrows. "You'll have a hell of a time here then. I came here last year as well, also my parent's doing, and let's see, there was me, the pessimistic gay dancer, there was the sarcastic costume designer that came straight from the 1980s, there was the drunk actor, his high singer friend, the mentally abused artist, the full on heavy metal rock artist, and the song writer obsessed with goats."
"So it is true." Simon whispered.
Alex shrugged. Believe what you want to, it won't matter in the end.
"I have found my people," Lau said, grinning. "I'm gay too. Hella gay." She laughed.
Sam broke character to say temporarily, "Non-binary and pansexual disaster over here,"
Ace looked over, "We should probably stop and talk to the rest of them.'
