"Drugs. An interesting prospect." Simon narrowed his eyes, "What are you really doing, Alex?"
"Drugs. An interesting prospect." Simon narrowed his eyes, "What are you really doing, Alex?"
Alex flipped her non-existent long hair. (Sam has short hair) "God, you're so paranoid. I'm the good girl, remember? That's the whole point of my existence, remember?" she said, with mild sarcasm. "Straight A's…valedictorian…on the volleyball team…virgin…Need I go on?"
"Then why are you defending yourself?"
"Well, I can't afford rumors about my reputation. You know that better than most, Simon," Alex said pointedly.
Simon snorted, "Then why are you doing drugs?"
"What in the world makes you think that?" Alex asked.
"What in the world couldn't make me think that?"
Alex walked into an empty classroom, sitting down on a chair. "Your rationale, please,"
Becca bit her lip. "I–I don't know. I want to act and sing, but the story line is soo….it brings up a lot of hard things for me. But y'all have already set the storyline, so I don't want to ask you to change it."
Simon smiled, "You didn't participate in the blood drive yesterday, why not?"
"Squeamish about blood. Blargh. I'm nice, I'm not a freaking angel. Next," Alex said dismissively.
"But you always participate in the blood drive." Simon raised an eyebrow, "New fear?"
"Yeah, no crap, Sherlock. Last summer, my brothers were playing with Mom's kitchen set, when I got stabbed. Not deep, but…yeah. I had to go to the hospital,"
"Okay." Simon grinned. "I love hearing your excuses."
Becca bit her lip. "I–I don't know. I want to act and sing, but the story line is soo….it brings up a lot of hard things for me. But y'all have already set the storyline, so I don't want to ask you to change it."
Her eyes softened. “Ensemble maybe?”
Alex sighed, grabbing a piece of paper and a pen from her backpack. "You're not convinced. Any other reason?" She wrote, Hands on the table where I can see them. And pull out your phone too. If you're recording, turn it off.
Simon took a step back, reading the note.
(How about Cecily for the heartbreaker's name?)
(Wait did he do what it said)

(Coolio)
(Wait did he do what it said)
yes
(Just curious, was he recording the conversation?)
(Just curious, was he recording the conversation?)
Was he? Maybe? Yes.
Becca sighed. "No–no I think if I can get a part that isn't as involved with all of the–whatever all this is, then I'll be fine–" Her forearm started burning. "Um….give a second please." She ran out of the room and into the girls' bathroom. She shoved up her sleeve. The blood was seeping through the bandages that covered her forearm.
Good. Alex wrote. You might be asking why I'm going to tell you all this: Here's the thing. No one will believe the word of a scrawny little nobody over an Elite. (gtg bye)
