"Yeah, I guess. Ladies first," Sofia said gesturing towards the door.
"Yeah, I guess. Ladies first," Sofia said gesturing towards the door.
Davis smirked and walked through the door, breathing in the fresh air. He shook his head and sighed, “Well, what now?” Davis asked Saffi.
"I don't know…" Sofia replied, shrugging.
“That helps,” Davis joked. He looked at the sky, trying to think of ideas, but nothing worked.
"Um, we celebrate not dying?" Saffi suggested sarcastically.
“That’s a given,” Davis replied. He started to walk away from the building and leaned up against a nearby tree. He looked at the building, wondering what they were supposed to do.
(I feel like something really dramatic should happen but I have no idea what XD)
Saffi brushed out her tangled hair with her fingers, staying where she was.
(Cough Hello)
(Hi, I don’t know what Davis can do, sorry :P)
(Lol I dunno what Saffi's doing tbh…..I'm trying to think of something that could happen but my mind is blank. I dunno)
(We're just going to umm….)
"Maybe we ca-" Saffi began, but was interrupted by a loud noise, as if someone had shot off a hundred guns at the same time. She looked around, trying to find the source of the sound but there was nothing. She shook her head and crossed her arms. "What the hell was that?" she muttered.
“Dunno, let’s check it out.” Davis got up and started to walk towards the noise.
Saffi followed him, her head tilted to the side. She shoved her hands in her pockets and sighed. "Whatever it is, I don't think it's good."
“Probably not.” Davis agreed, “Do you know where it came from?” Davis asked.
Saffi pointed over at a group of buildings. "That general direction, I don't know exactly," she replied, looking at the ground as she walked.
“Better than nothing.” Davis ran towards the cluster of buildings. As they neared, Davis turned back to Saffi, “Be quiet.”
Saffi nodded, moving a piece of hair behind her ear that had fallen out of her ponytail from running.
“Should we stay here to see if the noise happens again, or what?” Davis whispered.
"I don't think it will happen again…I think it was a mistake," Saffi muttered in reply.
“How would we know, though? It could’ve been a mistake, but just as well have been intentional. Of course, we don’t even know if they’re going to do it again, so our best bet is to try and find the source of the noise. It would be best to stick together, safety in numbers, after all, but which way should we go…?” Davis looked around, “Unless…” Davis looked up and smiled, “We take a look from above.”
"What's that supposed to mean?" Saffi asked, looking up at the sky.
“We go to the top of the buildings for a look, it may take some time, but it’s the fastest way to view everything.” Davis explained, “I know it’s probably a stupid idea, so if you have any other ideas, that’d be great, but right now, this is all we got.”
"That's probably smart. We can see the tops of all buildings, streets, alleyways, blah blah blah," Saffi said, nodding. Saffi pointed to a tall completely white building with few windows. "That's the tallest, but it looks sketchy."
“Who said we need to go inside?” Davis smirked.
"I'm guessing you have another plan?" Saffi asked, raising an eyebrow.
